Abstract: An improved swine feeding apparatus of the type having a feed storage unit (11) operably connected to a feed receiving and dispensing trough unit (16). The improvements include an interior feed retaining wall (41) to assist in maintaining all feed within access of a feeding swine. The improvements further includes an improved agitator unit (17) whereby a swine operated agitator member (49) may rotate and pivot freely to agitate feed. Finally, the invention includes an improved feed gate unit (18) wherein the threaded connection between the feed gate shaft (29) and the crank handle (32) is protected against contact with the feed.

Abstract: A loading and unloading apparatus for a van of a type including a framework within the van for slideably supporting a beam. A winch is moveably disposed on the beam for allowing an object to be loaded to be hoisted upwardly when the beam and hoist extend outside of the van; and, then the object can be moved into the van by movement of the beam into the van and movement of the winch and object along the beam in the same direction. Once the object is properly positioned within the van, it can be lowered to the floor of the van for support. Upon reaching the destination for the object, the winch is again used to raise the object off of the floor, whereupon the object is manually pushed out of the van causing movement of the beam and movement of the winch along the beam. Once the object is outside of the van, it can then be lowered to the ground by further use of the winch.

Abstract: An automatic livestock waterer having a concrete housing. Formed within the upper portion of the housing is a trough which is adapted to hold water. A well spaced away from said trough is also formed within said housing. A float control element for regulating the water level in the trough is coupled to a plumbing element mounted in said well, and which is connected to the water source, providing a conduit for the water from the water source to the float. The housing contains a service aperture adjacent to the well for servicing the control elements and plumbing elements. A hood extends over and around the float and associated heating element.
