These are achieved by forming a carcass layer (1) by using a single rubber coated cord (C1) without producing joints on a material. The carcass layer (1) is constructed from at least one layer of cord row layer (11A) where rubber coated cords (C1) are cut on piece by piece basis and joined aligned in the circumferential direction of the tire. Each of the rubber coated cords is formed in a cross-section with an oval outline. The cord row layer is joined at only one portion in the circumferential direction of the tire, so that there is substantially no overlap on the layer.
