  • Patent number: 4730292
Abstract: A device for sequentially feeding a plurality of disk-shaped recording media in an apparatus for performing a data recording or reproducing operation on a rotating disk-shaped recording medium. The device includes loading members, each of which holds one disk-shaped recording medium and each of which is rotatable about a common axis. A swinging mechanism swings a selected one of the loading members about the common axis through a predetermined angle to a feeding position. A lifting apparatus lifts the disk-shaped recording medium selected by the selected one of the loading members into a position at which the data recording or reproducing operation can be performed. A microprocessor controls the operation of the swinging mechanism and the lifting apparatus. In this manner, a plurality of disk-shaped recording media can be sequentially subjected to a data recording or reproducing operation without the intervention of an operator.

  • Patent number: 4613943
Abstract: An operation teaching method and apparatus for an industrial robot adapted to be successively moved to and set at different positions along an objective structure to conduct a predetermined operation on working objects of the same configuration on the objective structure to which objects the different positions correspond, respectively. The data taught at an initial position is corrected through a coordinate transformation between a coordinate system fixed on a working object and a coordinate system assumed on the robot, and the corrected data are reproduced and used as the operation data for the second and the following working positions.

  • Patent number: 4242620
Abstract: An automatic welding line tracing method and apparatus for causing a welding torch to follow the welding line by using a single non-contact-type sensor for detecting the welding line which is continuously reciprocated to traverse the groove of two pieces to be welded. During the reciprocating motion of the sensor, the sensor generates output voltages E.sub.1 and E.sub.2 respectively obtained by detecting the both ends of the groove to obtain E.sub.1 -.delta. and E.sub.2 -.delta. on the basis of the detected voltages E.sub.1, E.sub.2 and a separately established reference voltage .delta., and an output voltage P.sub.S corresponding to the central position of the groove is obtained from E.sub.1 -.delta. and E.sub.2 -.delta. to thereby compare the voltage P.sub.S with a voltage indicative of the central position of the oscillating motion of the sensor to thereby cause the welding torch to follow the welding line in accordance with the difference between these two voltages.
