  • Publication number: 20120325449
Abstract: A liquid silicone resin composition as a gasket material comprising a base resin, a first crosslinking agent for causing a crosslinking reaction of the base resin, a silane coupling agent, a second crosslinking agent for forming a bond to the silane coupling agent, and a silica filler is used to form a gasket in a heat exchanger. Using this liquid silicone composition, the adhesiveness of the gasket can be enhanced while ensuring the sealing reliability of the gasket compared with conventional gaskets. Even when a resin which is difficult to adhere a silicon resin is used as a material of the tank body, the adhesive force of the gasket to the tank body can be sufficiently increased.

  • Publication number: 20120318600
Abstract: Disclosed is an electric motorcycle provided with: an electric motor (M) for driving a rear wheel (110) which is a drive wheel; a battery (B) for supplying power to the electric motor (M); and a controller unit (130) for performing drive control of the electric motor (M). The electric motorcycle is of the scooter type in which a footrest section is constructed between the front wheel (105) and the rear wheel (110), and is provided with a controller housing compartment (129) disposed in the footrest section so as to be downwardly recessed. An opening (131) is formed in the bottom of the controller housing compartment (129), and a cooling fin (130c) is provided in the bottom surface of the controller unit (130) in a state in which the cooling fin (130c) is housed in the controller housing compartment (129) and downwardly protrudes from the opening (131) to face the outside. As a result, the controller unit (130) is directly and efficiently cooled by airflow produced during travel.

  • Publication number: 20120175096
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a core portion, a pair of header tanks, and an elastically-deformable sealing member. The header tanks are arranged on both end sides of the core portion. The header tank includes a core plate and a resin tank body, which define a tank space. The sealing member is disposed at an end part of the tank body located adjacent to the core plate. The sealing member has a loop shape to enclose the tank space when viewed from the core portion and is formed integrally with the end part of the tank body. The end part of the tank body includes a protrusion portion at least one of inward and outward of the sealing member. The protrusion portion encloses the tank space when viewed from the core portion and projects from the end part of the tank body toward the core plate.

  • Publication number: 20090255657
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes tubes, a core plate connected to the tubes, a tank connected to the core plate to be in communication with the tubes and a sealing member sealing a connecting portion between the core plate and the tank. The core plate has a groove portion including at least a base wall and an inner side wall to define a groove having a loop shape. The sealing member is disposed in the groove portion to be in contact with the inner side wall at least at two opposite locations of the loop shape. Alternatively, the sealing member is disposed in the groove portion to be in contact with at least one of the inner side wall and an outer side wall opposed to the inner side wall, and a substantially middle portion of a width of the sealing member is pressed by a projection of the tank.

  • Publication number: 20080121386
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a header tank for a heat exchanger includes forming a first engagement portion in a core plate, placing a tank body relative to a base portion of the core plate, and moving a first wall portion toward the tank body such that the first engagement portion is engaged with the tank body. In the forming, a portion of the core plate is bent, the portion extending from the first wall portion. In the placing, the tank body is placed such that an opening of the tank body is covered by the base portion such that a tank inner space is defined. The first engagement portion is engaged with the tank body by moving the first wall portion toward the tank body.

  • Publication number: 20080053645
Abstract: A heat exchanger and a manufacture method thereof are provided. Before a tank body and a core plate of a header tank of the heat exchanger are fastened to each other, a gel seal material or a liquid seal material is applied to at least one of a seal surface of the core plate and that of the tank body and hardened. Thus, a seal member which adheres to the seal surface due to the tackiness of the seal member is formed. The core plate and the tank body are fastened to each other in such a state that the part between the seal surface of the core plate and that of the tank body are sealed by the seal member having been hardened. Accordingly, the seal member can be restricted of twisting and position-deviating when the core plate and the tank body are fastened to each other.
