  • Patent number: 4795914
Abstract: A power supply circuit includes a series circuit, made up of a current feeding element and a charge storage element, which is coupled in parallel to the output of a power supply source. The power supply circuit also includes a first diode, connected to one terminal of the current feeding element, for feeding a first current from the power supply source to a load, and a second diode, connected to the other terminal of the current feeding element, for feeding a second current from the charge storage element to the load. The charge storage element can be fully charged-up with the voltage coming directly from the power supply source.

  • Patent number: 4698736
Abstract: A protection circuit for a power converter apparatus is disclosed which is made up of plural unit circuits, each comprising at least one fuse connected in series with a semiconductor element, such as a thyristor, and a non-linear resistor connected in parallel at least with the fuse. In this way fuses can be employed in a power converter apparatus of high voltage and current capacity. The unit circuits can be connected in series or in parallel or both to increase the current and/or voltage capacity of the power converter. Trigger fuses can be employed to halt operation of the unit in the event of fusing of one or more of the fuses.

  • Patent number: 4665458
Abstract: An acceleration power supply includes a series-connected semiconductor switches with voltage dividing elements and another semiconductor switch coupled in series to the series-connected semiconductor switches for cutting off a power supply line connected to a load of the apparatus. The series-connected semiconductor switches and cutting-off semiconductor switch have a function of a series regulator.

  • Patent number: 4618921
Abstract: A power supply system for supplying a load current to a load including a serially connected circuit of a controlled rectifier, a switch and a capacitor. A diode is connected in parallel with the capacitor or with a serially connected circuit of the switch and the capacitor and a control circuit. Which controls the controlled rectifier such that when a first voltage between the capacitor is larger than or equal to a specified voltage the controlled rectifier is operated as bypass pair mode and when the first voltage is below the specified voltage the controlled rectifier is operated as current control mode. A method for starting a power supply system is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4329652
Abstract: In controlled apparatus in which the output pulses of a common reference oscillator are the reference signals of a plurality of inverters, a synchronizing signal generated once in each cycle is added to the output pulses of the common reference oscillator. A respective control apparatus provided for each inverter detects the synchronizing signal from these output pulses to which the synchronizing signal has been added, and by this means phase matching of the outputs of the inverters is effected.
