  • Patent number: 8222383
Abstract: Disclosed are DNA encoding a polypeptide which can modulate the activity of a muscle-specific tyrosine kinase, and others. The DNA is selected from the following members (a) to (d): (a) DNA comprising a specific nucleotide sequence; (b) DNA comprising a nucleotide sequence capable of hybridizing with a specific nucleotide sequence under stringent conditions; (c) DNA comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding an amino acid sequence having the substitution, deletion and/or addition of one or several amino acid residues in a specific amino acid sequence; and (d) DNA comprising a nucleotide sequence having 90% or higher homology to a specific nucleotide sequence.

  • Publication number: 20100064150
Abstract: A power supply system is adapted to a platform including a plurality of processing devices including baseboard management controllers (BMC) for processing basic information units, each of which is equipped with a plurality of power supply units (PSU) and at least one secondary power supply unit interconnected to a power cable. The controller calculates the maximum power consumption of the processing device based on its configuration, an adequate number of power supply units being turned on to meet the maximum power consumption, and a redundant power supply corresponding to one power supply unit times the adequate number minus the maximum power consumption. When the processing device suffers from a power shortage, the secondary power supply unit or the power supply unit of the other processing device is selectively turned on so as to recover the redundant power supply, thus normally achieving the N+1 redundancy of power supply.

  • Patent number: 5875473
Abstract: In a multi-processor system, a page descriptor can be updated in a memory coupled to a processor without stopping operations of other processors. Each processor has a page descriptor comparator including a calculated address register which stores a physical page address for an address calculation, and an updated address register which stores a physical page address to be updated. The page descriptor comparator also has a reset page descriptor (RSTPD) mode register which indicates a mode of the processor, and a coincidence detector. If the RSTPD mode register is active, the coincidence detector detects coincidence between the calculated address register and the updated address register.

  • Patent number: 5437248
Abstract: A fire tube boiler having a combustion chamber equipped with a burner, and a group of fire tubes provided adjacent to the combustion chamber. The fire tube boiler further includes a heat exchanger disposed in the combustion chamber and serving for heat exchange with combustion flame from the burner. The combustion chamber is divided into a first combustion chamber and a second combustion chamber by the disposition of the heat exchanger. Furthermore, the heat exchanger is disposed in proximity to the burner so that the combustion flame in the first chamber is less than 1500.degree. C. and the combustion flame in the second chamber is between 1100.degree. and 1400.degree. C. Thus, the fire tube boiler allows further reduction in harmful exhausts such as NOx and CO.
