  • Patent number: 7675650
Abstract: A method of creating an ornamental representation of a natural flower or foliage, by digitally scanning one or more surfaces of one or more pieces of a natural flower or foliage and directly printing the scanned images on respective one or more surfaces of a medium. The printed pieces are then cut out of the medium, shaped to create the contour of a natural petal or foliage and composited to create an ornamental representation of the natural flower or foliage.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 13, 2006
Date of Patent: March 9, 2010
    Inventor: Osamu Honjo

  • Patent number: 5938162
Abstract: A coaster, for supporting a liquid carrying vessel on furniture having a furniture surface, and protecting the furniture surface from water damage. The coaster includes a top layer that is made of a soft fibrous material and absorbs liquids. The coaster has a bottom layer that is water repellant to isolate the liquids from the furniture surface. The coaster also has a chemically impregnated water absorbent layer, which contains sodium polyacrulate or simialr product(s).

  • Patent number: 5415703
Abstract: A very thin electrical steel strip having a thickness not exceeding 150 microns, an average grain diameter not exceeding 1.0 mm, a high degree of {110} <001> grain orientation, a high normalized magnetic flux density as expressed by a B.sub.8 /B.sub.s value which is greater than 0.9, and a low core loss not exceeding 50% of the core loss of any conventional product. It is produced from a starting material consisting of a grain-oriented electrical steel strip containing not more than 8% silicon, the balance thereof substantially being iron, and having a high degree of {110} <001> grain orientation, a normalized magnetic flux density as expressed by a B.sub.8 /B.sub.s value which is greater than 0.9, an average grain diameter of at least 20 mm in the rolling direction and an average grain diameter of at least 40 mm in the direction perpendicular to the rolling direction.

  • Patent number: 3948691
Abstract: A method for manufacturing cold rolled, nondirectional electrical steel sheets and strips having a high magnetic flux density wherein a molten steel is solidified to obtain a slab in a manner that columnar grains develop predominantly from the surface in the direction of thickness of the slab up to a depth of more than 50%; said slab is heated to a temperature above 1000.degree.C without cogging and rolling to form .gamma.-phase at least more than about 10% of said slab, and hot rolled strongly with a draft of more than 98% without reheating to obtain a hot rolled steel sheet; and said hot rolled steel sheet is cold rolled with a draft of 64 - 84%, heated with a heating velocity of more than 1.6.degree.C/sec., and annealed at a temperature of 600.degree. - 1200.degree.C.
