Abstract: A power consumption controller includes an input power monitoring unit, a load information monitoring unit, a redundancy configuration unit and a power control unit. The input power monitoring unit monitors an input power to a unit including a plurality of components. The load information monitoring unit measures a load of each of the components. The redundancy configuration unit stores information regarding an operation state of each of the components and extracts information regarding a configuration in which redundancy is maintained even if one of the components in operation is stopped. The power control unit detects whether or not the input power is over a predetermined value, selects a component having the smallest load among the components of the extracted configuration when the input power is over the predetermined value and switches the selected component into a power saving mode.

Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to detect abnormality in an error detecting function early while minimizing adverse effects on transfer performance. The present invention provides a method for diagnosing a transfer data ensuring system in which a transmitting apparatus transmits transmission data provided with an error detection code and then receives a result of error detection (referred to as a transfer reply below) carried out by a receiving apparatus to verify the transferred data, the method comprising transmitting dedicated diagnosis data provided with an incorrect error detection code and diagnosis data provided with a correct error detection data and diagnosing the error verifying function on the basis of a transfer reply to the transmitted data.

Abstract: In a memory refreshing control apparatus for controlling a memory (20) comprising a plurality of bank memories (21, 22, 23, 24) each necessitating refreshing operation, a unique refreshing counter (11) produces a refreshing request while a memory access requesting section (13) produces an access request. A request executing arrangement (12, 14, 15, 16) concurrently executes refreshing processing and access processing for the memory (20) when the refreshing request and the access request are in contention and when the refreshing request and the access request are requests for different bank memories.
