  • Publication number: 20030151561
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic device that suppresses reduction in reception sensitivity and occurrence of distortion when IC cards are used while stacked. A loop antenna 1 equipped to the IC card has four turns, and it is designed so that one turn comprises a linear portion L2, a curved line portion L3, a linear portion L4 and a curved line portion L5, for example. When two loop antennas 1 having such a shape is stacked with being faced in the opposite directions, the corners thereof are not overlapped. For example, the corner formed of the curved line portion L3 and the linear portion L4 of the loop antenna 1 is overlapped with the curved line portion L3 of the loop antenna 1 superimposed with being faced in the opposite direction, so that the corners are not overlapped and the overlap portion is reduced as a whole. The present invention may be applied to an IC card for receiving/transmitting data under non-contact state.

  • Patent number: 5573128
Abstract: A plastic cap having a peripheral band 4 which is provided at the lower end of the skirt-like side wall portion of the cap body, wherein the lower end of the skirt-like side wall portion outwardly protrudes, the peripheral band 4 downwardly extends from the protruded portion 10 at the lower end via a breaking line 11 that is circumferentially formed leaving a plurality of bridges 12, a downwardly extending stopper piece 20 is disposed on the side of closing the cap with respect to at least one of the bridges 12, the stopper piece 20 comes into contact with the bridge 12 at the time of closing the cap, and the cap body and the peripheral band 4 turn together. There is no need of providing space for forming stoppers between the lower end of the skirt-like side wall and the upper end of the peripheral band portion. Therefore, the coupling portion between the two is easily formed by providing a breaking line in the subsequent working of cutting.

  • Patent number: 5445708
Abstract: A method for preparing ultrathin piezoelectric resonator plates having an ultrathin vibrating portion enclosed by a thick periphery portion, comprising a forming process which forms a plurality of depressions in one side of a wafer of a piezoelectric material to form ultrathin vibrating portions as the bottom wall of each depression and a trimming process which trims the thickness of each vibrating portion by etching to adjust the resonance frequency, characterized by bonding a comparatively thick plate with a plurality of holes formed at the positions corresponding to the depressions in the wafer to the depressed side of the wafer or forming a layer with a plurality of holes formed at the positions corresponding to the depressions in the wafer over the depressed side of the wafer, and putting an etching liquid into the depressions through the holes in the thick plate or layer.

  • Patent number: 5307034
Abstract: Since split electrodes are disposed along the x-axis of an AT cut quartz crystal plate on its ultrathin vibratory portion formed integrally with a thick frame-like marginal portion surrounding it, desired acoustic coupling can be obtained although the split electrodes are disposed closely to such an extent as not to cause shorting between them. It is therefore possible to obtain, with a satisfactory yield, filter elements which have center frequencies in the range greater than about ten megahertz and sufficiently wide passbands.

  • Patent number: 5235240
Abstract: In an ultrathin piezoelectric resonator including an ultrathin vibratory portion and thick frame-like marginal portion formed integrally therewith for supporting it around, an electrode and an electrode lead pattern extending therefrom are provided on one surface of the vibratory portion and an electrode is provided on the other surface of the vibratory portion in an area except at least an area corresponding to the electrode lead pattern, thereby preventing that a capacitor is formed between the electrode and the electrode pattern deposited on the opposite surfaces of the vibratory portion and increases the parallel capacitance of the resonator. The electrode lead pattern is formed narrow to reduce an ohmic loss and suppress a spurious resonance. A through hole is made in the frame-like marginal portion and extends therethrough in its thickwise direction.

  • Patent number: 5218328
Abstract: In a resonator which has an ultrathin vibratory portion formed integrally with a thick frame-like rib surrounding it, a pair of opposed thick marginal portions of the frame-like rib are formed so that their widths gradually decreases toward another marginal portion of the rib from the other remaining one perpendicular to the above-noted pair of opposed marginal portions and to be fixed to a resonator case. This structure substantially increases the mechanical strength of the piezoelectric resonator, even if it is held in a cantilever fashion, and protects it from breakage by an external vibration or shock.

  • Patent number: 5185550
Abstract: In a piezoelectric resonator having an ultrathin vibratory portion formed by a cavity made in a piezoelectric block and a thick frame-like rib formed integrally with said vibratory portion and surrounding it, an excess adhesive receiving groove or the like is cut in one marginal portion of the frame-like rib between an adhesive coated region. The resonator is fixedly housed in a package by use of an adhesive coated on one marginal portion of the frame-like rib along the z-axis direction, or by means of elastic pawls without using the adhesive. In this case, one marginal portion of the frame-like rib on the opposite side from a pad deposited on one side of the piezoelectric resonator is bonded to the bottom of the package.

  • Patent number: 5051970
Abstract: An overwritable magneto-optic recording system has a recording medium with a substrate, a recording magnetic film and a reproducing magnetic film deposited on the substrate. The reproducing magnetic film has a Curie temperature lower than that of the recording magnetic film, and coercive force Hc higher than that of the recording magnetic film. In a write process, a magnetic head writes data magnetically on the recording magnetic film, then, in a transfer process, an optical head (which is positioned downstream along the relative movement of the recording medium and the optical head) heats the recording medium higher than the Curie temperature of the reproducing magnetic film so that the reproducing magnetic film loses its magnetic property. During the cooling period after heating, recorded bits in the recording magnetic film are transferred to the reproducing magnetic film which restores its magnetic property.

  • Patent number: 4776782
Abstract: A rotational plastic compression molding apparatus including a plurality of circumferentially spaced female molds and a plurality of circumferentially spaced male molds cooperating respectively with the plurality of the female molds. The female molds and the male molds are rotated in synchronism and thus moved round successively through a material loading zone, a compression molding zone and an article discharge zone. In the material loading zone and the article discharge zone, each said female mold and each corresponding mold are maintained in a spaced-apart inoperative relation, and in the compression molding zone, they are maintained in an approaching operative relation to define a mold space therebetween. In the material loading zone, a heat-melted plastic material is loaded in the female molds, and in the article discharge zone, the compression-molded plastic article is discharged from between each said female mold and each corresponding male mold.
