  • Patent number: 6245419
Abstract: An unsaturated polyester resin composition having excellent vibration-damping properties, comprising an unsaturated polyester resin (A) having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 0° C. or more and less than 60° C. In the composition, the unsaturated polyester resin (A) may be blended with an unsaturated polyester resin (B) having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 150° C. or more and less than 200° C. or an unsaturated polyester resin (C) having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 200° C. or more. Further, the composition may contain an elastomer (D) having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of −50° C. or more and less than 100° C.

  • Patent number: 6156836
Abstract: This invention provides polypropylene resin compositions which have sharply improved balance of physical properties in comparison with the related polypropylene materials, are materials that can be used in both interior and exterior parts of automobiles, have excellent thin-wall moldability and can sharply reduce generation of flow marks. Particularly, it provides a polypropylene resin composition which comprises specified amounts of (A) a specified ethylene-propylene block copolymer, (B) a specified thermoplastic elastomer and (C) talc, wherein it has specified values of physical properties measured by ASTM and has a degree of b-axis orientation of 720 or more which is calculated from the ratio of differential peak intensities measured by wide-angle X-ray diffraction of the central area of an ASTM No. 1 dumbbell prepared by injection molding.

  • Patent number: 6121363
Abstract: A crystalline propyleiie block-copolymer composition exhibiting superior flowability upon molding for use in automobile parts, which composition comprises 41 to 71% by weight of a crystalline propylene block-copolymer composed of a propylene homopolymer portion (Fp) and an ethylene/propylene random copolymer portion (Fc) and having an ethylene content of 1 to 10% by weight and a melt flow rate (MFR) of 20 to 100 g/10 min.; 12 to 22% by weight of a first hydrogenated product of a block-copolymer having a relatively smaller stylene content; 2 to 12% by weight of a second hydrogenated product of a block-copolymer having a relatively greater stylene content; and 15 to 25% by weight of talc, wherein the propylene homopolymer portion (Fp) contains 20 to 50% by weight of a low molecular weight propylene homopolymer having an MFR of 400 to 1,000 g/10 min., the average MFR being 100 to 350 g/10 min.

  • Patent number: 5305714
Abstract: A fuel supply system for a hydrogen gas engine, having a metal hydride tank in which pellets or powders of a metal hydride absorbing and storing alloy are stored. A heat exchange device is arranged in the tank in contact with the metal hydride therein. The heat exchange device is connected to a heating medium source, such as an engine water jacket, for supplying the heating medium to the heat exchange device, for separating hydrogen gas from the metal hydride. A fuel supply conduit is provided for connecting the metal hydride tank with the engine. A hydrogen gas flow control valve and a hydrogen gas flow meter are arranged in series in the conduit. A controller is provided for controlling the hydrogen gas flow control valve so that a desired amount of the hydrogen gas, as detected by the hydrogen gas flow meter, is obtained. A sub tank may be provided for storing an excess amount of hydrogen gas from the main tank, which is introduced into the engine via a sonic valve.

  • Patent number: 4783366
Abstract: This invention concerns a shock absorbing material placed between two objects for buffering the shocks, and a method of applying the same.Heretofore, a previously formed shock absorbing material is bonded by way of an adhesive or the like to an object to be buffered. However, there has been a disadvantage that no desired bonding strength can be obtained or the adhesive is degraded. It is intended in this invention to render the shock absorbing material fusible under heating, by which the shock absorbing material is fused due to the melting of the shock absorbing material itself with an object to be buffered using no adhesive thereby increasing the bonding area and improving the bonding strength as compared with the conventional case.
