The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel that displays an image, and a display control unit that controls display of a predetermined image to respond to image sticking on the liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal display includes a selection receiving unit that receives a selection of a display mode from among a plurality of display modes in which the predetermined image is displayed, and the display control unit controls the display of the predetermined image in accordance with the display mode selected at the selection receiving unit.
