  • Patent number: 6289136
Abstract: In magnifying a multivalued image, binary images are generated by using the respective density levels of the multivalued image as thresholds. The contour of each binary image is equivalent to an equidensity curve corresponding to each density gradient of the original multivalued image. Outline vectors of each binary image are extracted and magnified/smoothed. The contour of each binary image represents an equidensity curve corresponding to each density gradient of the magnified multivalued image. In a binary image area corresponding to a black pixel of each binary image, a pixel having a density equal to the threshold used to generate the binary image is written. This processing is sequentially performed for all the binary images from a low-density binary image to a high-density binary image to generate a multivalued image. The objected multivalued image is subjected to density gradient smoothing processing. As a result, a magnified multivalued image is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6247320
Abstract: In the detection of circulating compositions in the cycle of a non-azeotropic refrigerant composed of three or more kinds of refrigerants, there have been drawbacks in that the number of sensors required is large, and large errors are contained in the circulating composition which can be detected. To overcome these drawbacks, the refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus comprises at least a compressor, a condenser, a pressure reducing device, and an evaporator, and in a refrigerant cycle which uses as a working refrigerant a non-azeotropic refrigerant composed of N kinds (N≧3) of refrigerants and is provided with composition detecting means for detecting the circulating compositions of the non-azeotropic refrigerant, circulating compositions are determined by using (N−2) relations on compositions among a first component to a j-th (2≦j≦N−1) component of the non-azeotropic refrigerant.

  • Patent number: 5941084
Abstract: A control-information detecting apparatus for a refrigeration air-conditioner using a non-azeotrope refrigerant is equipped with a temperature detector and a pressure detector at the refrigerating cycle of the air-conditioner, which cycle is formed by connecting a compressor, a condenser, a decompressing device, and an evaporator, to detect the temperature and the pressure of the refrigerant circulating the cycle for obtaining the circulation composition of the refrigerant with the composition computing unit thereof. The usual optimum operation of the cycle is thereby enabled even if the circulation composition of the refrigerant has changed.

  • Patent number: 5323618
Abstract: A heat storage type air conditioning system capable of performing refrigerant receiving and discharging control and oil quantity control, which, in operating the general cooling circuit and the cold radiating circuit simultaneously or separately, is free from difficulties that the compressor is damaged or the cooling capacity is lowered when the quantities of refrigerant in those circuits are excessively increased or decreased, and is able to continue the operations with the quantity of refrigerant and the quantity of ice machine oil adjusted to suitable values. In the heat storage type air conditioning system, evaporators are provided in a general cooling circuit driven by a compressor and in a cold radiating circuit driven by a refrigerant gas pump, respectively, so that those circuits operate independently of each other. Furthermore, bypass circuits are provided to allow refrigerant to flow between liquid pipes and between gas pipes in those circuits.

  • Patent number: 4091043
Abstract: A process for preparing 1-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane and/or 1,1,1-trifluoroethane by fluorination of 1,1,1-trichloroethane with anhydrous hydrofluoric acid in the presence of antimony pentachloride in a halogenated hydrocarbon solvent which is capable of dissolving both the catalyst and 1,1,1-trichloroethane, is substantially inert in the reaction system and which has a boiling point of above 0.degree. C and a melting point of below 60.degree. C. By varying the mole ratio of hydrofluoric acid to 1,1,1-trichloroethane both fed together into a solution of the catalyst in the solvent, 1-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane and 1,1,1-trifluoroethane are obtained with a variety of desired ratios.
