  • Patent number: 4683519
Abstract: Connection structure for connecting electrically and mechanically electronic components or devices, such as a printed circuit board, an LSI, an IC, a display device, a switch, a printer unit or a battery, by using a noise shield plate which is made from an electrically conductive resilient thin plate for shielding electrically the electronic components from external electrical noise and which is contained in the case. The connection structure greatly reduces the number of parts required for the structure and the number of assembly steps when assembling the structure, and thus the connection structure is provided at a lower cost.

  • Patent number: 4549835
Abstract: A docking apparatus comprises a drive truck adapted to run along a side wall of a dock approximately horizontally, a surface treating truck connected to the drive truck at all times and having a hull surface treating device, and a docking truck connectable to and separable from the drive truck and having a retractable hull suction disk. The drive truck only is provided with drive units for running.

  • Patent number: 4487180
Abstract: An engine has a load detector, or more specifically a threshold load comparator, and also detectors for sensing any abnormality of various factors influencing the normal engine operation. When no abnormality is sensed, the engine is made to operate automatically at a low speed level when the engine load is below the threshold value, and at a high speed level when the load is beyond such value. When any abnormality is sensed, then the engine is emergently halted in a fail-safe manner, thus any damaging disorder in controling circuitry for effecting such emergent halting leads in itself to emergent halting of the engine as well.

  • Patent number: 4206237
Abstract: A method of cooling beer, wherein beer contained in a cylindrical fermentation tank of a large capacity and undergoing a fermentation process extending from the beginning of fermentation to the termination of fermentation, is cooled by employing cooling jackets mounted on the external wall surface of the sidewall of the tank and on the bottom of the tank and wherein cooling is more intense at the lower layer of beer in the tank.

  • Patent number: 4108004
Abstract: Disclosed is a self-propelled pipe inspection apparatus suitable for use in inspecting a plurality of parallel and vertical pipes one by one, for the presence of faults such as cracking, corrosion and so on, by non-destructive testing method. The apparatus has fault detecting means which may be of conventional type, pipe cramping means adapted to cramp the pipe and a mobile carrier by which the fault detecting means and the pipe cramping means are carried. The mobile carriage has a power-driven running surface which may be a running surface of an endless belt and adapted to be pressed onto the pipe surface when the pipe is cramped by the cramping means. The cramping means comprise at least a pair of arms each of which having a bent end carrying a roller. Each arm is supported for free rotation around its longitudinal axis, so that the roller may be swung outwardly to clear the pipe, when the latter is brought into the space between the pair or arms.
