    Abstract: A network management system utilizing the push style in which transmission of an event from a server to a client is performed asynchronously via an event channel. The server includes a transmitter for transmitting data at a predetermined time interval, for detecting any communication errors between the server and the client. Thus, the requested client can detect errors such as a disconnection between the client and the server and a recording medium on which a network management program is recorded.
