Halfway in photographing of the time-lapse photographing, a time-lapse moving image is generated using a photographing result of the time-lapse photographing performed to that point and displayed, whereby quality of the time-lapse moving image is made predictable. A change of setting of the time-lapse photographing is received and reflected on subsequent time-lapse photographing, whereby a user easily obtains a desired picked-up image.
