  • Patent number: 5057341
Abstract: Carbon fiber precursors from pitchy materials are processed by applying thereonto an aqueous emulsion containing a single silicone oil or a mixture of silicone oils selected from polydimethyl siloxane, phenyl modified polydimethyl siloxane and aminoalkyl modified polydimethyl siloxane and having kinetic viscosity at 25.degree. C. of 100 centistokes or less, an alkanolamine salt of aliphatic monocarboxylic acid with 8-18 carbon atoms, and one or more non-ionic surfactants selected from polyoxyethylene alkylphenylethers polyoxyethylene alkylates, polyoxyethylene alkylaminoethers, and aliphatic monocarboxylic alkanolamides such that 0.1-5 wt % by solid deposit on fiber from this aqueous emulsion apply to the pitch fibers during any of the processes from the spinning and to the oxidizing.

  • Patent number: 4615816
Abstract: New lubricating agents, or finishes, containing as principal constituent a polyalkylene ether polycarbonate compounds of a specified type are effective when used for the processing of thermoplastic synthetic yarns not only because they can provide lubricity and antistatic properties to the yarns but also because they can reduce the rate of generating tar and provide oil membranes of improved strengths.

    Filed: May 6, 1985
Date of Patent: October 7, 1986
    Assignee: Takemoto Yushi Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Osamu Ogiso, Ippei Noda
  • Patent number: 4561987
Abstract: Lubricating agents (spin finish) of this invention for processing synthetic yarns contain 0.05 to 10 wt % of polyalkylene oxide modified polysiloxane of a specified form an 0.5 to 8 wt % of anionic surface active agent in addition to the base of a polyether compound derived from alkylene oxide with 2 to 4 carbon atoms. Such lubricating agents exhibit superior characteristics in the production of textured yarns regarding lubricity, cohesion of yarn, anti-static capabiity and heater-deposit resistance.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 13, 1984
Date of Patent: December 31, 1985

  • Patent number: 4552671
Abstract: Spin finish compositions having as base oil polyether compounds which are .omega.-methoxy-poly (oxyethylene/oxypropylene) ether derivatives of a specified type and containing 0.05 to 10 weight % of polyalkylene oxide modified polysiloxane of another specified type are particularly desirable for application to polyester and polyamide yarns for ultra-high speed texturing because they have the characteristics of preventing fuzz on the yarns, thermally degraded substances and tacky white powder as well as reducing tackiness of such white powder.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 15, 1984
Date of Patent: November 12, 1985
    Assignee: Takemoto Yushi Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Osamu Ogiso, Hisao Yamamoto, Akira Suzuki
  • Patent number: 4502968
Abstract: A lubricating agent for processing thermoplastic synthetic fibers contains at least one new type of silyl polyether obtainable by a reaction between polyether of a special type derivable by ring-opening addition polymerization of cyclic ether monomers and halogenated substituted silane. If such lubricating agent is used appropriately during the processing of thermoplastic synthetic fibers, both the coefficient of fiber friction and the rate of generating tar can be reduced.

Date of Patent: March 5, 1985
    Assignee: Takemoto Yushi Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Ippei Noda, Osamu Ogiso
