  • Patent number: 8116755
Abstract: A mobile communication terminal and a moving speed detection method which are capable of detecting a moving speed with high accuracy are provided. A mobile communication terminal 10 includes a plurality of moving speed detector sections, i.e., a first moving speed detector section 30 and a second moving speed detector section 32 which have mutually different detection methods and a speed detection value selector section 34 to select any one of respective speed detection values of the detector sections 30 and 32 based on a predetermined selection criterion.

  • Patent number: 7350038
Abstract: A disk system has contents play-back restriction mechanism. A contents storage section, which contents received from a regular server are stored in. A capacitor charged with power supplied from the server. A volatile memory backed up by the capacitor and stores data necessary for the play-back of the contents received from the server. A controller for controlling the contents storage section and the volatile memory for reading and writing data when supplied with power from a regular player or the server.

  • Patent number: 6885703
Abstract: A video code processing method includes (a), (b), (c) and (d). The (a) step includes providing a first original bit stream including a video code which is a digitized video signal. The (b) step includes generating a second original bit stream at a first timing by delaying the first original bit stream by a specific time interval. The (c) step includes generating a converted bit stream at a second timing. The first original bit stream is code-converted into the converted bit stream. The (d) step includes switching between the second original bit stream and the converted bit stream to output. The specific time interval is adjusted such that the first timing is substantially equal to the second timing.

  • Patent number: 6845214
Abstract: The present video apparatus is provided with a re-encoder having an audio/video processing section disposed between a decoder and an encoder so that the decoded audio/video signals can be re-encoded. Image resolution of the video information is altered by the audio/video processing section so as to control the bit-rate of the audio/video encoding process performed in the encoding section to suit the system performance. Such a configuration of the video apparatus enables to control the file size of the audio/video codes recorded in a recording medium of the recorder. It is also possible to use the audio/video processing section to insert characters, diagrams and image information in the video data, and to insert additional audio data in the original audio data.

  • Publication number: 20010018971
Abstract: In a heat storage air conditioning apparatus, a power demand time-sequence data collecting unit collects time-sequence data on demand for power; a power demand curve estimating unit estimates a power demand curve obtained as a result of analysis of the power demand time-sequence data collected by the power demand time-sequence data collecting unit; a thermal energy load demand estimating unit estimates thermal energy load demand from the power demand curve estimated by the power demand curve estimating unit; an operation unit of a thermal-energy source feeds cooling/heating energy; a heat accumulating unit stores the cooling/heating energy supplied from the operation unit therein; a cold/hot air discharging unit discharges the thermal energy stored in the heat accumulating unit; a cooling/heating energy quantity recognizing unit recognizes the quantity of cooling or heating energy dissipated from the cold/hot air discharging unit; and a converting unit converts the quantity of cooling/heating energy into the
