  • Patent number: 8089506
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for displaying to a viewer an image stereoscopically representing a three-dimensional object to be displayed. The apparatus includes: an emitter emitting light, having an intensity modulating section capable of intensity modulation for modulating an intensity of the light emitted from the emitter; a wavefront-curvature modulator capable of wavefront-curvature modulation for modulating a curvature of wavefront of the light emitted from the emitter; and a controller controlling the intensity modulation and the wavefront-curvature modulation, based on a luminance signal indicative of luminance of the image, and a depth signal indicative of depth of the image. The depth signal is a signal corresponding to depth data produced in a rendering process for the object to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 7982906
Abstract: An optical scanning device is constituted without using any arc sin .theta. correction lens, while maintaining quality of an image. The optical scanning device comprises an optical flux generator, a resonance-type deflection element, a drive signal generator and a dot clock generator that is configured to sequentially generate dot clocks which satisfy a first, second and third condition, wherein the optical flux generator radiates the optical fluxes having brightnesses corresponding to the clock cycles of the dot clocks generated by the dot clock generator.

  • Publication number: 20090243969
Abstract: There are provided a transparent display device configured to be capable of giving a predetermined field of view including a natural image of a projection board to the vision of an operator and to be held on the head portion of the operator, an antenna arranged in the vicinity of the projection board and configured to carry out radio communication to at least one RFID tag for display storing display data, respectively, that has at least one predetermined display image displayed in the field of view, and a control circuit configured to obtain image data via radio communication through the antenna and to have the predetermined display image displayed by the display device so as to be superimposed on the natural image of the projection board in the field of view on the basis of the obtained image data.

  • Publication number: 20070013688
Abstract: A retinal scanning display is disclosed for displaying an image to a viewer by two-dimensionally scanning a beam of light on the viewer's retina. The retinal scanning display includes: an emitter emitting the beam of light; a light modulator modulating an optical characteristic of the beam of light, based on an entered light-modulation signal; a scanner scanning the modulated beam of light two-dimensionally; and a first corrector correcting the light-modulation signal which is to be entered into the light modulator. The light-modulation signal is corrected such that linearity of a command-to-actual-light-modulation-value relationship between a command value and an actual value for the light modulation of the optical characteristic is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 5044518
Abstract: A seed container has a plurality of partition plates for dividing the conner into a plurality of spaces and a brush provided in each space in parallel with the partition plate. A cell plate having a plurality of cells is provided in a bottom of the seed container, and a receiving plate having a plurality of apertures corresponding to the cells is provided under the cell plate. The cell plate is reciprocated so as to reciprocate each row of the cells over the corresponding brush. When each cell coincides with a corresponding aperture, a seed in the cell drops for seeding.

  • Patent number: 4831387
Abstract: In accordance with a printing data, resistive thermo-generating elements in a thermal head are selectively heated to a relatively high temperature and a heat-fusible solid ink on an ink ribbon is thereby melted and the melted ink is transferred to a printing paper, thereby printing characters on a printing sheet. The printed characters can be erased by contacting to the printed portion of the printing sheet the ink ribbon heated by the thermal head to a relatively low temperature. In order to prevent the printing and erasing qualities from being deteriorated due to the change in the environmental temperature, the duration of current application to the resistive thermo-generating elements is compensated for individually for printing and erasing modes in response to the change in the environmental temperature.
