  • Patent number: 7024698
Abstract: A processor means is connected with other individual means, and controls those individual means. Storage means stores data to be processed by the processor means and the resultant data after the process. An important data in the storage means is transmitted to other devices for evacuation by using a wireless communication means, when a situating condition of a portable information-processing device is judged abnormal (e.g., when being stolen) based on an output of a status detector means. The data in the storage means is deleted, when the transmission is completed or the transmission is interrupted. Protection of the data and the confidentiality are thus achieved even if the portable information-processing device is stolen, since the data can be evacuated, and the data is erased after completion of the data evacuation or if the data evacuation becomes not attainable.

  • Patent number: 6944480
Abstract: An image display device has a serial port as data input and output port for the system, and input and output data converting element for mutually converting the data format of input and output data for wireless communication. A data processing device has input and output processing virtual element for processing data input and output virtually as if the data input and output port are connected directly. The input data of the serial port is converted by the input and output converting element, and is transmitted to the data processing device through a wireless unit, and is processed through the input and output processing virtual element. The output data of the data processing device is transmitted to the image display device in the wireless unit by way of the input and output processing virtual element, and is converted by the input and output data converting element, and is issued to the serial port.

  • Patent number: 6877099
Abstract: A wireless display system including a computer and a wireless display wireless-communicating with each other is provided. In the system, the wireless display automatically shifts back from a power saving operation mode to an ordinary operation mode. The computer includes an object event registering/monitoring unit and a wireless-communication unit. The When detecting a specified event which occurs in the computer, the computer notifies the events to the wireless display with the wireless-communication unit, and turns on the wireless display to shift the display unit automatically from the power saving operation mode to the ordinary operation mode. The wireless display monitors inputting data through a touch panel unit. When no data is input for a predetermined time, a display unit is turned off. Thereby, the wireless display automatically shifts form the ordinary operation mode to the power saving operation mode.

  • Patent number: 6801191
Abstract: An input device is provided which is capable of entering a double tap operation even if an operation through a touch panel is performed in difficulty. The input device includes a coordinate acquiring section, a pressure acquiring section, a coordinate condition storing section, an on-pressure storing section for storing a first pressure and a second pressure smaller than the first pressure, a time condition storing section, and an input judging section. In operation, the pressure of the first pen touch operation detected by the pressure acquiring section exceeds a first pressure. Then, if the pressure of the second pen touch operation detected by the pressure acquiring section exceeds the second pressure within a certain time stored in the time condition storing section, and if the second pen touch operation is performed within a distance stored in the coordinate condition storing section, the input judging section qualifies the two consecutive pen touch operations as a double tap operation.

  • Publication number: 20020158889
Abstract: According to the wireless display system of the invention, by wireless communication of display data of plural personal computers to one wireless display, and divided simultaneous display, plural personal computers can be always monitored simultaneously, and moreover can be operated individually by using one wireless display. Therefore, the supervisor can monitor and operate plural personal computers simultaneously without moving around, so that the problems of physical burden of supervisor, lowering of quality of working and learning, and tremendous cost of installation and maintenance can be solved at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20020161454
Abstract: Disclosed are the information processing apparatus, its system, and method for control of the apparatuses capable preventing surreptitious reading, falsifying and erasing of data stored in the apparatuses. The system comprises information processing apparatus, portable apparatus and other information terminals having radio transmitting and receiving units. It is judged whether the distance between the two apparatuses is within a predetermined range or not by means of radio field strength detector or global positioning system (GPS). If not existing within a predetermined range or the password is not matched, some of the operations of at least one of the two apparatuses are stopped, or start of the two apparatuses is stopped.
