  • Publication number: 20050253471
Abstract: A permanent magnet motor for driving a fan is rotated while a movement of the rotor in a direction of thrust of a rotary shaft with a rotation of the fan is prevented by magnetic attraction force of a permanent magnet and a stator core. A surface magnetic flux density of the permanent magnet facing the stator core is lower at an end portion than at a central portion of the permanent magnet in the direction of thrust of the rotary shaft.

  • Publication number: 20050232765
Abstract: In an axial flow fan, for reducing fluid noise and further reducing the noise by suppressing solid-conveyed noise (structure-bone noise) generated by the vibration of an electric motor or the like, the axial flow fan is equipped with a propeller, a motor for driving the propeller, and a venturi portion disposed on the outer circumference side of the propeller and provided on its inner circumferential side with a bellmouth through which an air flow generated by the revolution of the propeller passes, wherein the bellmouth has an intake portion whose diameter contracts in a curved shape in the direction of the air flow, a cylindrical portion having a cylindrical shape, and a discharge portion whose diameter slantingly expands in the direction of the air flow.

  • Patent number: 5398686
Abstract: A gantry defines an opening, and a surface coil is mounted in a predetermined position inside the opening. In tomography using this MRI apparatus, an examinee supported on a top board is moved into the opening. At this time, the top board is movable without being obstructed by the surface coil. The surface coil receives NMR signals from a photographed site lying directly over the surface coil. Sectional images are prepared based on the NMR signals received. When shifting the site to be photographed, the operator in a scanner control room gives an instruction to move the top board, thereby adjusting a photographing position. It is unnecessary for the examinee to move on the top board, or for the operator to move from the scanner control room to the photographing room. The examinee entering the gantry opening is illuminated by light from a light projector. A position of the top board when the light illuminates the site to be photographed is regarded as a starting point.
