  • Patent number: 5462710
Abstract: A manufacturing method forms flanges for use in a film cartridge which are made of resin. Each flange is made of the resin by an injection molding process. Gates to cavities provided in a mold are located such that residual portions of solidified resin at the gates, remaining after the injection molding process has been completed, do not come into contact with a film in the cartridge as the film is moved into and out of the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 5335876
Abstract: A tape cassette for use in a recording apparatus with a lid lock to lock a front lid of the tape cassette in a closed position. The lid lock includes a fixing portion which fixes the lid lock to the cassette body, and a locking portion with a lock claw which engages the front lid to lock the front lid in the closed position. A reinforcing member formed of a resilient material extends between a support portion and a front leg portion of the lock member to bias the front leg portion of the lock member in a frontal direction toward a locking position. The lock claw locks and releases the front lid by movement caused by the deformation of the lid lock.

  • Patent number: 5246111
Abstract: A magazine for a roll-type of photosensitive material having: an inner holder including a back plate made of paper; side plates made of paper connected with both sides of the back plate; supporting members each composed of plural accumulated disks and made of paper for supporting both ends of a spool around which the photosensitive material is wound; and a lightproof box made of paper to cover the inner holder. A slit through which the photosensitive material is pulled out is formed by a folded portion of the back plate and a lid portion of the lightproof box. A lightproofing material is provided to the folded portion of the back plate and the lid portion of the lightproof box at the slit. The supporting members are pivotally held by the side plates through a metallic or a synthetic resin shaft.

  • Patent number: 5179855
Abstract: A film magazine forming apparatus forms a sheet having printing on a side thereof into an almost cylindrical shape. The film magazine formed into the almost cylindrical shape has separated lip portions for enabling a film to mvoe therethrough. The lip portions have a soft yarn mounted thereon. Transport apparatus transports the sheet to forming means including a core mold, an upper mold, and first and second side molds which form the sheet into an almost cylindrical shape with the printing on the side of the sheet forming an outer cylindrical surface of the almost cylindrical sheet. Transport apparatus transports the sheet with the printed side of the sheet being out of contact with the transport apparatus to prevent damage to the printing on the sheet. In addition, the core mold is used as a guide for transporting the almost cylindrical shape sheet to another operating position. A claw can be mounted on the core mold for transporting the thus formed almost cylindrical shape to another operational position.

  • Patent number: 5054710
Abstract: A spool for winding a photographic roll of film in a camera. The spool includes a shaft having a slit formed by opposed walls one of which has a protrusion extending into the slit and positioned between two ribs of the other wall. The protrusion is received in a perforation of the film tongue to wind the film when the spool is turned in a winding direction. When the film is unwound, the film tongue smoothly and reliably slips out of the slit as the perforation wall slides down an angled wall of the protrusion so that the film is released from the spool.

  • Patent number: 4928826
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cartridge for packaging a roll film. The cartridge has a film outlet that is composed of upper and lower lips, each lip has a light-shielding ribbon attached to the inside thereof. Both extended side edge portions of the ribbon attached to the lower lip are slightly bent downwardly. Both extended side portions of the ribbon attached to the upper lip are also bent downwardly at a slightly larger angle than that of the lower lip. Consequently both side edge portions of both upper and lower lips overlap in a more complete manner or are more positively joined together.

  • Patent number: 4834310
Abstract: The invention provides a spool for winding a photographic roll film. The spool has a bar-shaped spool core which is slitted to lengthwise direction to form a slit for inserting a tongue-shaped end of the film having a through hole. On an inside wall of the slit, there is provided a catch claw capable of engaging the through hole. On another inside wall opposite to the above inside wall, there is provided a pressing rib for pressing and guiding the tongue-shaped end to the catch claw. A part of the outer surface of the spool core, adjoining to the inside wall of the slit in which is disposed the pressing rib, is shaped to serve as a film contact surface. The tip surface of the pressing rib and the film contact surface both jointly form a continuous shape of a circular arc.
