  • Patent number: 6418032
Abstract: A printed wiring board in which noise components at a high frequency side of a power supply voltage can be eliminated, and undesired radiation noisewhich is newly generated can be suppressed, such that noise can be greatly reduced overall. The printed wiring board includes a first signal layer, a GND layer, a power source layer and a second signal layer. A sub-power source layer is provided on a same layer as a main power source layer. The sub-power source layer is formed in a substantially oval shape at a predetermined position in a substantially oval opening in the main power source layer, such that it is not in direct contact with the main power source layer. Power supply voltage is supplied from the main power source layer through an L-type filter.

  • Publication number: 20010035799
Abstract: A circuit board device suppress with a small number of terminal elements unwanted irradiation originating between a power supply layer and a ground layer, even when a configuration of the power supply layer and the ground layer on the circuit board is complex, and a design support device thereof. The circuit board device has a power supply layer and a ground layer disposed in opposition to one another. A dielectric is disposed between the power supply layer and the ground layer. A power supply surface is divided into two power supply surfaces and by a slit having a generally T-shaped configuration to form power supply surface edges. The power supply surface edges retain across a predetermined length L a characteristic impedance present between the power supply layer and the ground layer. A terminal load is connected to a terminal portion of the power supply surface edges.

  • Patent number: 6166457
Abstract: A printed wiring board device used for electronic equipment, such as the information equipment, etc. A printed wiring board (10) has a power source layer (11) and a ground layer (12) and is mounted with active elements (3 and 4), such as digital ICs, etc. A first capacitor (1) which conductively couples the layers (11 and 12) with each other at a high frequency is provided in the peripheral section of one end side or the other end side of the section of the board (10) where the layers (11 and 12) are faced to each other. Second capacitors (2) which respectively supply transient currents to the active elements (3 and 4) are provided between the power supply pins (3V and 4V) of the elements (3 and 4) and the ground layer (12) near the elements (3 and 4). Therefore, the electromagnetic radiation caused by the power source layer (11) and the ground layer (12) of the printed wiring board (10) can be suppressed easily and remarkably.

  • Patent number: 5742709
Abstract: An image reading device of the type in which a display panel is laid over a document table and an image on an original document is input through the display panel. In the image reading device, the display panel is a liquid crystal panel of the transmission type in which liquid crystal/polymer composite material is sandwiched by electrodes, and at least one of the electrodes sandwiching the liquid crystal/polymer composite material consists of a plurality of divided electrodes. Further, a gap between the adjacent divided electrodes is shorter than a minimum resolution distance in a location of the display panel of the image reading device. Alternatively, an electrode layer may be provided covering the gap between the adjacent divided electrodes in a state that an insulating layer is layered between the electrode layer and the gap. The ends of the divided electrodes may overlap with each other, with an insulating layer being layered therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5341358
Abstract: An optical recording medium having a layer of recording material provided on a substrate, the material having an optical property which is changed reversibly by means of light or heat, so that writing/reproducing or writing/reproducing/erasing of information is performed by using the reversible change of the optical property of the recording material layer. The recording material is composed of a plurality of elements and is capable of taking, as a melt state thereof, a selected one of a single phase state and a two-phase coexistent state. An optical recording method for performing writing/reproducing/erasing of information uses a reversible change of an optical property of the recording material layer by irradiating the recording material layer with a high-power light beam so as to melt it into a single phase state and then cooling the recording material layer so as to form a phase-changed portion corresponding to a recording state or an erasing state.

  • Patent number: 5234737
Abstract: A phase change optical recording medium in which a recording layer is formed on a substrate whose optical characteristic changes with crystal and amorphous phase change. With a phase change optical recording medium according to the invention, the difference in refractivity between crystal and amorphous parts is large, and therefore the error in the reproduction of data is lessened and the average reflectivity is large so that the servo operation is made stable. Further, the thickness of the recording layer can be reduced according to the invention, and the amount of energy required for recording data can be reduced as much, so as to increase the number of times of recording operations, and improve the recording sensitivity.
