  • Patent number: 8503864
Abstract: In a mobile terminal provided with an encoded data recording function, there is assumed a condition in which a picture frame transmitted from the terminal of a communication partner is reproduced by means of decoding processing and is displayed on a LCD (34) during wireless TV phone communication. In this condition, when a user carries out a picture recording start operation, display picture data reproduced by means of decoding processing in the multimedia processing section (24) to be displayed on the LCD (34) are recorded in a main recording section (26).

  • Publication number: 20130073793
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a memory device includes a nonvolatile memory which stores data in units of a write unit includes cells, and a controller which controls the memory and partitions memory space of the memory. In response to a request to write write-data to the memory from a host, the controller requests the host to transmit a segment of the write-data with a specified size. The write-data segment has a size of an integral multiple of a size determined to allow for a set of the write-data segment and corresponding additional data to be the largest while smaller than the write unit. Before completion of processing a first command which requests access to a first partition, the controller accepts a second command which requests access to a second partition.

  • Patent number: 6377818
Abstract: A communication terminal apparatus is separated into a housing that is capable of video/voice communications, and a housing that is capable of only voice communications. Since functions of the housing that is capable of only the voice communications are limited, the housing becomes small, can be stored in a pocket or the like, and can immediately go off-hook upon reception of an incoming call. Upon reception of a videophone communication request, the user goes off-hook using the housing that is capable of only the voice communications to immediately make voice communications with the partner terminal, and can switch the communication mode to the video/voice communications using the housing that is capable of the video/voice communications, as needed. Hence, even a communication terminal having a videophone function can comprise a video input/output function without impairing its portability and storability.

  • Patent number: 5062035
Abstract: An improved time slot allocation method for a loop network. Loop networks in which the present invention is applied include a loop-connecting a control station and a number of branch stations. The control and branch stations each have at least one terminal connected thereto such that interstation communication, when demanded by a terminal, is made by passing a frame through the transmission path. The frame includes a synchronization area for indicating the leading end of the frame, a fixed-length control area, and a data area composed of a plurality of time slots. According to the invention, the control and branch stations are each allocated with a predetermined or unique number of time slots to be used by terminals for interstation communication. When a station has its reserve of unused time slots fall below a preset lower limit, the control station supplements time slots from its own reserve.

  • Patent number: 4779261
Abstract: The present invention relates to a loop network arranged by loop-connecting a control station and a number of substations through a main transmission path where at least one of the substations comprises a branch station inserting and coupling another station into the main transmission path as a lobe or subloop. In order to prevent an out-of-step condition of the main transmission path, resulting from a failure in the lobe or subloop, the branch station includes a frame buffer for normally selecting the signal from the lobe or subloop and selecting the signal from the main transmission path during detection of a failure and on a bypass command, and for accumulating the selected signal in units of a single frame, and a mechanism for supplying the accumulated signal to the main transmission path.
