Patent number: 8715451Abstract: [Problem to be Solved] When a wood raw material is heat-pressed in order to produce a woody material or woody board, steam is generated in an interior of the wood raw material. The heat-pressed wood raw material is then decompressed with the steam staying in the interior of the wood raw material. This causes a puncture or a rupture of the woody material. The puncture occurs in the last phase of the production process, thus spoiling the entire production process. In order to avoid the puncture, the wood raw material needs to be dried completely. This requires a large amount of energy.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2009Date of Patent: May 6, 2014Assignees: Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute, Swood Company LimitedInventors: Hideaki Korai, Atsushi Sumida, Takayoshi Osada, Osamu Yasuda, Keishi Tanaka

Patent number: 6784395Abstract: A wire-electrical discharge machine infuses a processing liquid in a gap between a wire and a workpiece and processes the workpiece using predetermined processing parameters. The machine includes a processing parameter memory that stores processing parameters, a second memory that stores a relationship between nozzle height and processing energy, a processing energy determining unit that determines the processing energy, for example, during rough processing, based on the relationship, and a processing parameter changing unit that changes the processing parameters based on the processing energy. The workpiece is processed using the changed processing parameters. According to this construction, wire breakage can be prevented and the accuracy of the processed surface can be improved.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2002Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tomoko Sendai, Koji Enomoto, Osamu Yasuda, Yasuhiro Kawai, Seiji Sato

Patent number: 6610956Abstract: A device for quality decision of a machining state of an electric spark machine to apply voltage in a pulse form to a machining space between an electrode and a workpiece for contour machining by pulse discharging includes a plurality of machining state detection apparatus each of which detects a different physical quantity that denotes a machining state. The physical quantity being machining speed, machining voltage, machining current, on and off times of voltage applied to an electrode, total number of discharges, number of abnormal discharges, abnormal discharging rate, and discharging frequency. Furthermore, a machining state evaluation and quality decision apparatus (49) synthetically evaluates the machining state and quality decision of the machining state based on a combination of comparison of the physical quantities detected by the machining state detection apparatus with predetermined standard values for each of the physical quantities.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2001Date of Patent: August 26, 2003Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Osamu Yasuda

Patent number: 6433295Abstract: When the surface roughness of a work face of the workpiece (2) fixed onto the surface plate table (8) in the work tank (14) in which the work fluid (17) is stored is more than a predetermined value, the bladder (15) capable of expanding or contracting by the pressure of fluid accommodated in the bladder (15) is contracted, and a space between the work tank (14) and the surface plate table (8) is filled with the work fluid (17), and electric discharge work is conducted. When the surface roughness of a work face of the workpiece (2) is not more than a predetermined value, the bladder (15) is expanded, and a quantity of the work fluid (17) getting into between the work tank (14) and the surface plate table (8) is reduced and electric discharge work is conducted.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2000Date of Patent: August 13, 2002Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Osamu Yasuda

Patent number: 5744775Abstract: To easily correct the slant of a wire electrode to a workpiece by using the workpiece which is machined into a product and the wire electrode without a special jig. Discharge is generated by approaching a wire electrode 1 to a workpiece fixed on a table. The slant of the wire electrode and correcting amount are calculated by measuring the discharge for a prescribed period of time or a prescribed number of times, while taking the discharge position as a width or a distribution. Then, correction is performed. Therefore, it is possible to correct the slant of the wire electrode relative to the workpiece directly by using the wire electrode. Accordingly, it is possible to drastically reduce the time necessary for getting accuracy in fixing the workpiece on the table and the time necessary for arrangements such as verticality check of the wire electrode by discharge.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 1996Date of Patent: April 28, 1998Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Osamu Yasuda, Yoshiro Nakayama
