The controller determines whether the mobile information terminal is included in the user's FOV based on the status data, and performs display control with respect to the display so as to display an application screen of the mobile information terminal on the display when determining that the mobile information terminal is not included in the FOV, and not to display the application screen on the display when determining that the mobile information terminal is included in the FOV.

The record means records the data in at least two different areas on the record medium, and the decision determines one valid data among the recorded data in the different areas. The unit includes a record control means for controlling the record means. The record control means provides a control command for the record means to record a predetermined quantity of data stored in the memory at a first recording location on the record medium and also provides a control command for the record means to read the predetermined quantity of the data at least one recording location different from the first recording location after the predetermined quantity of the data is recorded at the first recording location.

The defect detection means may determine the presence of a defect based on a readout result provided by the data read means. The unit may further include a storage means for storing a defect position information. Furthermore, a read characteristic may be adjusted on reading data at the defect position on the storage medium.

    Abstract: An audio apparatus having a detachable control panel or operating-part main unit includes a microcomputer for detecting an OFF state of an ACC position of the ignition key, or the attached/detached state of the operating-part main unit. When such states are detected, normal operations of the microcomputer; namely, the operations to turn on an SWD V.sub.DD terminal and an A/D port and to set a KEY DATA terminal into a standby mode, are stopped intermittently in order to execute a low consumption process in which electric power is consumed only for holding information in memory in the microcomputer. When the microcomputer detects the OFF state of the ignition key or the OFF state of an installation detection switch and, an alarm ON state is set in the memory in the microcomputer, then an alarm sound is generated from a speaker for a predetermined time.
