  • Patent number: 11918530
Abstract: A water flosser is provided that may include a base, a reservoir positioned above the base, a lid, and a handle in fluid communication with the reservoir such as by a hose. The reservoir of the water flosser may include a recess formed in a reservoir wall for receipt of a hose support structure. An input device (e.g., a power button) may be positioned adjacent an upper portion of the water flosser, such as in or adjacent the lid. Actuation of the input device may include application of a force downward toward the base. The water flosser may include a motor having a dual output shaft, with one end of the shaft being associated with a rotary encoder or other sensing device to determine an operational characteristic of the motor. The motor may be driven by a power source such as a rechargeable battery.

  • Publication number: 20220304772
Abstract: In one embodiment, a light guide includes an emitter and a light guide body optically coupled to the emitter. The light guide body may define a cylindrical body that tapers along an angled plane from a top end towards a bottom end. The bottom end may define a light entrance to the light guide body.

  • Patent number: 11389270
Abstract: In one embodiment, an oral irrigator includes a reservoir, a base configured to support the reservoir, and a button assembly coupled to the base. The button assembly may include a button, a spring coupled to the button, and a seal coupled to the spring. The button may be movable between an original position and an actuation position. The spring may be configured to deform in response to a user input force moving the button from the original position to the actuation position, and to resiliently return the button to the original position in response to cessation of the user input force on the button. The seal may inhibit fluid from entering through the spring into the base.
