    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for rendering the environment about a container containing vapors of a combustible liquid relatively safe for blacksmithing operations by introducing an oxygen-depleted gas into the container and removing the oxygen-depleted gas and the vapors of the combustible liquid from the container to displace oxygen from the container and reduce the hazard of explosion.
