  • Publication number: 20230248339
Abstract: A surgical device includes an inner stylet component and an outer stylet component. The inner stylet component includes a first handle and an elongated rod having a proximal end attached to a bottom surface of the first handle and a distal end comprising a needle tip. The outer stylet component includes a second handle and an elongated cannula having a proximal end attached to a bottom surface of the second handle and a distal open end comprising cutting elements formed on an outer surface. The elongated rod is sized to removably fit and slide within the elongated cannula, and the first handle is configured to interlock with the second handle. Rotating the interlocked first and second handles moves forward the elongated cannula and the needle tip and cuts a profile in an insertion site with the cutting elements of the outer cannula.

  • Patent number: 11712253
Abstract: A method for inserting an interspinous spinal implant into an opened gap between first and second spinous processes of adjacent superior and inferior vertebras, respectively includes the following. First forming an opened gap between a first spinous processes of a superior vertebra and a second spinous processes of an adjacent inferior vertebra by first inserting a decompression knife into diseased areas of the adjacent superior and inferior vertebras, then cutting fascia tissue, then separating soft tissue from bone by rocking the decompression knife back and forth, and then inserting a broach cutter into the diseased areas of the adjacent superior and inferior vertebras and cutting interspinous ligament between the adjacent superior and inferior vertebras. Next, determining and selecting an appropriate sized and shaped interspinous spinal implant for the opened gap by inserting a sizing tool into the opened gap, and sizing the opened gap with the sizing tool.

  • Patent number: 11129655
Abstract: A bone fusing implant device includes an elongated body extending along a longitudinal direction. The elongated body includes a first segment having an outer surface with cortical threads, a second segment having an outer surface with cancellous threads, a top segment and a bottom segment. The first segment is adjacent to the second segment along the longitudinal direction and is configured to engage a cortical bone with the cortical threads and the second segment is configured to engage a cancellous bone with the cancellous threads. The elongated body has one or more elongated fusing gutters extending along the longitudinal direction on an outer surface of the elongated body covering the first and second segments, a central opening extending along the longitudinal direction through the elongated body's center and one or more through-openings that extend horizontally and intersect with the one or more fusing gutters.

  • Patent number: 9937793
Abstract: An interactive activation system having a base with a display module that projects two or more icons. The display module is connected to the base. A case is connected to the base and covers the display output module. The case has one or more apertures that aligned with the display output module in a manner that allows the two or more icons to be projected through the one or more apertures. An output screen is connected to the case and has at least one reflective surface that is positioned relative to the one or more apertures of the case. This allows the two or more icons projected by the display output module to be reflected by the reflective surface of the output screen toward a viewing zone.

  • Publication number: 20160085332
Abstract: A touch sensitive holographic display system includes a transparent screen having a rear side and a front side. A projector is configured for creating a holographic image at the front of the screen by projecting an image towards the rear side of the screen. The projector is located at the rear side of the screen. A touch sensor is configured for sensing a touching of the holographic image at the front side of the screen. An electronic controller is connected to the projector for controlling the projector and is connected to the touch sensor for receiving an indication that the holographic image has been touched. By touching the image, which can be an icon, a user can control or access a function of an automobile.

  • Patent number: 8876084
Abstract: This invention relates to light to heavy duty automotive repair practices in which repairs are required to use a rolling hydraulic floor jack. The rolling floor jack has a safety pin device with adjustable hole locations for different heights to accommodate the end user. The rolling floor jack lifting arms would be supported by the safety pin device. When the safety pin device is inserted thru the holes in the sides of the body side panels of the jack, there is a spring loaded release safety ball built into it to also in sure the safety pin is properly inserted and not slide out. The safety pin device has a side storage (cradle) mounted to the right side panel to store it when not in use. The safety pin device has a safety chain attachment connected to it and the other end of the safety chain attachment is connected to the right side panel to help the end user from misplacing it or losing it.

  • Publication number: 20070223904
Abstract: A digital camera takes interleaved photographs of two different kinds. In one example embodiment, the first kind of photograph is taken using a first set of pixels of the camera's electronic array light sensor and has a short exposure time. The second kind of photograph is taken using a second set of pixels and has a long exposure time. More than one of the short-exposure-time photographs is taken while each long-exposure-time photograph is exposed. The two kinds of photographs are used for different purposes. For example, one kind may be used for performing automatic focusing while the other kind is used for displaying in a live view display. In this way, live view may continue while automatic focusing is performed. In another embodiment, one kind of photograph is used for providing a live view display, and the other is used in selecting exposure settings for a final photograph.
