The present invention provides hybridomas, antibodies and test devices for the detection of bacteria of the genus Campylobacterin a sample. Further, the present invention discloses the uses of the antibodies and a method for detecting bacteria of the genus Campylobacter. The antibodies of the present invention are specific for DNA-Binding Protein from Starved Cells (Dps) and provide less false positives and a higher sensitivity when used in an immunochromatographic test device than other antibodies used to detect bacteria of the genus Campylobacter.
