    Abstract: An aperture in a wall of a dispenser for dispensing tearable, web-like material, is provided. The aperture has the form of a slot, the active edges of which converge toward at least one end of the slot. Material drawn from said dispenser through the aperture and pulled toward the end is wedged tight between the converging slot edges and can be torn off.

    Abstract: A dispenser for a material wound into hollow cylindrical self-supporting roll is provided. The dispenser wall or walls adjacent to the circumference of the roll are provided with a first aperture through which the material, unwindable from the outside of the cylindrical roll can be drawn from the dispenser and a wall adjacent to an end face of the roll is provided with a second aperture through which the material unwindable from the inside of the roll, can be drawn from the dispenser.
