  • Patent number: 4509864
Abstract: A program plate for a timer with setting means preferably arranged about the circumference of the program plate for the determination of a switching program, wherein the program plate is rotatably connected with a clockwork drive mechanism for operation of the program plate. An additional time display is operable through a further drive mechanism, which evidences a higher timewise resolution than the program plate, and which is integrated into the program plate. Within the circumferential surface area of the program plate, there is rotatably supported a preferably centrally positioned display disc for the higher resolved or defined time display, in which the further drive is supported within the program plate, and wherein the display disc is actuated by the further drive by means of the differential speed between the program plate and a housing component of the clockwork mechanism.

  • Patent number: 3950939
Abstract: A twenty-four hour digital display in which the numerals for the display are carried by a 1-hour barrel and a 10-hour barrel which are stepped by a stepping device. A steppable visor driven in steps by the 10-hour barrel covers part of the time the 1-hour barrel which has a function of the time display. The visor itself carries numerals for indicating single-digit hours. The stepping device includes a gearing and a shaft which serves simultaneously as a locking device for the two barrels.

  • Patent number: 3944795
Abstract: A setting mechanism incorporated in a digital display device which includes a movable first digit carrier; a motor driving the first digit carrier in a normal digit-advancing operation; and a movable second digit carrier. The setting mechanism has a drive member continuously driven by the motor, a clutch connected between the drive member and the second digit carrier. The clutch, when in its engaged state, couples the drive member to the second digit carrier for imparting a setting motion to the latter; and a manually operable actuator connected to the clutch for operating the same.
