  • Patent number: 5137318
Abstract: An assembly which includes supporting structure for a gripping device such as a pair of tweezers. The support structure includes a cylindrical member for rotational support of the tweezer legs relative to a cross-piece which carries a support leg. The support leg extends substantially in parallel with the tweezer legs, and is provided with a support foot for contact with the work piece. At its rear end, the support leg is adjustably connected to the cross-piece. A retention device maintained the tweezer legs at a specific location along the axial axis during operation. A maneuver sleeve surrounds and is displaceably guided along the tweezer gripping legs for accomplishing compression and opening, respectively, of the tweezer legs upon longitudinal movement. Preferably, a maneuver rod extends along the central axis through a hollow cylindrical portion defining the base or stem of the tweezer legs. The maneuver rod is connected to the maneuver sleeve by, for example, a pin extending between the tweezer legs.

  • Patent number: 5097719
Abstract: A device for a bicycle comprising a drive transmission which is coupled to the drive wheel of the bicycle and includes a gear change mechanism with a number of different size chain sprockets, a shifting device coupled to the gear change mechanism and a freewheel coupling arranged between the drive wheel and the chain sprockets. Moreover, the device comprises a disengage mechanism (34-37) which is coupled to the shifting device (20) of the gear change device by means of a friction element (19) and a drive member (23) for enabling simultaneous disengagement of the freewheel coupling and change of gear.

  • Patent number: 5004083
Abstract: A coupling for a bicycle provided with a pedal operated brake actuator (8) which is separated from the drive chain, comprising a first freewheel coupling (8) which is associated with the pedal assembly for torque transfer to the brake actuator (8) at reverse rotation of the pedal crank, and a second freewheel coupling (43; 64; 143) for torque transfer to the drive wheel at forward rotation of the pedal crank, and a third freewheel coupling which is associated with the drive wheel and arranged to deactivate either of said first freewheel coupling or said second freewheel coupling (43; 64; 143) by means of a shifter (30; 65; 130) at reverse rotation of the drive wheel. A slip clutch (35, 36; 67, 69; 135, 136) is arranged to enable greater freedom of rotation as said third freewheel coupling is engaged.
