Oskar Schleith has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 6852677
Abstract: Polyoxymethylene with addition of a lubricant mixture composed of an aliphatic ester and of a polyethylene wax improves in-feed behavior into the injection-molding machine without substantially changing tribological behavior, when comparison is made with a polyoxymethylene which has only an aliphatic ester. The weld-line strength of the molding is also improved. The molding composition is used for moldings of any type with high tribological requirements running against hard materials.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 31, 2001
Date of Patent: February 8, 2005
    Assignee: Ticona GmbH
    Inventors: Klaus Kurz, Oskar Schleith
  • Patent number: 6790385
Abstract: Polyoxymethylene with addition of conductivity black and of a lubricant mixture composed of a lubricant with predominantly external lubricant action and of a lubricant with predominantly internal action, and also with addition of an impact-modifier component provides a high level of electrical conductivity with good mechanical and tribological qualities. It is used for functional components with requirements for good electrical conductivity with good wear performance.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 31, 2002
Date of Patent: September 14, 2004
    Assignee: Ticona GmbH

  • Patent number: 6046141
Abstract: Thermoplastic molding compositions which comprise an oxidized polyethylene have high abrasion resistance and permit a less severe reduction of elongation at break at the frequently unavoidable weld lines. The molding compositions have low static friction. They are therefore used in articles which have a tight fit but are nevertheless readily separable, and also for low-friction and wear-resistant articles which require to slide.

  • Patent number: 5889102
Abstract: Molding compositions comprising a thermoplastic, at least one lubricant and at least one fibrous material have high abrasion resistance and high rigidity. The molding compositions comprise, for example, polyoxymethylene, ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene as lubricant and glass fibers. The molding compositions are used for the production of gearwheels, toothed racks, bearings and chains.

  • Patent number: 5340877
Abstract: It has been found that moldings produced from polyoxymethylene have reduced gloss if an acrylic (co)polymer is incorporated into the polyoxymethylene. The polyoxymethylene modified according to the invention gives moldings having a streak-free, uniformly matt surface which generally retain the physical properties and also the inherent color of the base material.
