    Abstract: A windscreen wiper assembly with translational motion is adapted to wipe the rear window of a motor car. All the parts of the windscreen wiper, including its driving motor and mechanical parts for imparting a reciprocal translational motion to the wiper blade, can be mounted internally within a spoiler. The spoiler is externally mounted to the car in parallel with and above the upper horizontal edge of the rear window.
