Abstract: A golf swing practice mat including a ball practice area and a resistance area is disclosed to provide a physical resistance to the club head at the time of ball impact and through the follow through. In one embodiment, the golf mat comprises a generally rectangular rubber base and a simulated grass material overlying the rubber base. The simulated grass upper layer may be a typical fairway length simulated grass. The mat has a central ball placement area which may include a tee and a resistance area in front of the ball placement area, i.e. in the follow-through area immediately after striking the ball. The spacing of the resistance area from the ball placement area, and or tee may be variable.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus that includes a bar member having opposed ends with each end being a closed end and having adjacent to the closed end an open channel defined by an elongated slot. An elastic member with handles attached to respective ends of the elastic member and a cap member disposed about the closed end of the bar member for retaining the handle in place. A method of attachment is also illustrated.

Abstract: An elastic device made of a flexible and stretchable resistance tube on the inside covered by a flexible and stretchable sleeve or sheath. The sleeve or sheath may be formed in an accordion-type pleat. An end connector is formed by providing a reversed loop in the center resistance tube that is engageable with a strap means that is threadable through the loop to form a knot for securing the strap means to the end of the flexible and stretchable resistance tube. The strap means may be provided in several different forms including a handle, link or clip. In another embodiment of the invention an elastic device is comprised of a flexible and stretchable resistance tube, and a connector means that is disposed at least one end of the tube, a solid ball member that is for insertion into a hollow end of the tube, and at least one strap disposed about a loop of the flexible and stretchable resistance tube adjacent to the rigid ball member.
