  • Patent number: 8656962
Abstract: A gripper head of a weaving machine has a clamping device for clamping a band-shaped weft material to be inserted into a loom shed of the weaving machine. The clamping device includes a stationary clamping jaw and a movable clamping jaw that is loaded by a spring and movable about a rotation axis. Each clamping jaw respectively has a clamping surface. The movable clamping jaw is actuatable by a control device to open the clamping device. The gripper head includes a frame, and the clamping surfaces are arranged essentially outside of the frame, but the spring and the rotation axis are arranged inside the frame.

Abstract: A gripper head (1) of a weaving machine comprises a clamping device (2) for a band-shaped weft material (8) to be inserted into a loom shed of the weaving machine. The clamping device (2) comprises a stationary clamping jaw (3) and a clamping jaw (4) that is loaded by a spring (5) and movable about a rotation axis (6), each clamping jaw respectively having a clamping surface (7), wherein the movable clamping jaw (4) is actuatable by a control means (9) for opening the clamping device (2). The gripper head (1) comprises a frame (10), wherein the clamping surfaces (7) are arranged essentially outside of the frame (10) and the spring (5) and the rotation axis (6) are arranged inside the frame (10).

  • Patent number: 4962795
Abstract: The main nozzle of an air jet loom has an inlet end (7) where the weft threads are inserted into the main nozzle and exits (19) where the weft threads pass out of the main nozzle into the weft thread air insertion channel (20) of the reed (14). The inlet end (7) is supported by a spring elastic mounting which permits guided movements of the nozzle exits (19) in any direction in a plane extending perpendicularly to the weft thread insertion direction for properly aiming a nozzle exit into the air insertion channel.

  • Patent number: 4958664
Abstract: An air jet weaving loom with a jacquard frame wherein harness threads are fed to a reed having a defined drawing-in width. Weft thread insertion devices are arranged on the weft insertion side. A catch side or weft exit side having an adjustable length, is provided with catching elements. The weft thread insertion devices have been arranged on the insertion side of the loom to be movable in the direction of the weft thread insertion for producing woven fabrics with different drawing-in widths.

  • Patent number: 4726402
Abstract: A gear drive for a shuttleless loom having a coupling train between a power input shaft and a power output member for reciprocating a weft thread gripper device into and out of a loom shed. The coupling train has a gear lever journalled for an oscillating motion which transports the weft thread gripper device. The coupling train also includes a piston rod type coupling link between the power input shaft and the gear lever. One end of the piston rod is journalled by a crank pin to the power input shaft. The other end of the piston rod is connected to a fork of the gear lever by a journal bolt having wedge type teeth and grooves in its facing ends which cooperate with respective teeth and grooves in the fork for an adjustment of the coupling point between the piston rod and the gear lever along elongated guide slots in the fork of the gear lever.

  • Patent number: 4249881
Abstract: A station for running foam-plastics material into shut molds has a mixing head with first and second driving systems, the one for moving the mixing head sideways to an inlet opening of each mold, and the other for moving the mixing head downwards into and upwards out of the inlet opening. The mixing head and the first driving system together with the second driving system are supported by a slide or carriage, which is guided along a section of the transport way of the smoothly moving molds. By way of a driving connection, the slide may be joined up with the mold which is to take up the plastics material and cleared from it again when the mold is full.
