  • Eyeglasses with invertable lens carriers

    Abstract: A pair of eyeglasses has a frame with hubs at each side of the frame, and a lens carrier rotatably mounted in the hubs to allow the lenses to be rotated slightly to adjust the pantoscopicity or to be rotated 180.degree. to invert multifocal lenses. The lens carrier may have studs extending laterally to be received through the hubs, and fixed by a nut, the lens carrier may include a frame for the lenses, the frame being freely rotatable on a pin extending from the hub. A spring latch then, locks the lens carrier to the frame to prevent rotation. The lens carrier can therefore be inverted and latched.
