Abstract: A method comprising: obtaining, by a client application of a messaging system, information about messages of a user residing on a messaging server; obtaining at least message headers for previously not downloaded messages; determining, on a basis of at least one predefined rule, whether to download whole content of at least one previously not downloaded message in the client application; and downloading the messages for which a positive download decision is made in the client application.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following: during message composition using a keyboard, use one or more of the keyboard entered characters forming part of the message to search for one or more content items having metadata matching the one or more entered characters; and provide the one or more content items having matching metadata for insertion or attachment to the message.
