  • Patent number: 11909200
Abstract: An electrical system for a motor vehicle includes a current distributor; a plurality of first lines which are designed to connect a corresponding plurality of electric components to the current distributor; a plurality of semiconductor-based first switch elements, wherein a specified first switch element of a specified first line is designed to interrupt said specified first line; a second line which is designed to connect the current distributor to the electrical system; a limiting unit which is designed to limit or prevent a second current on the second line; and a control unit which is designed to determine that the specified first switch element does not open although a first current running through the specified first switch element exceeds a first current threshold and, in response to said determination, to trigger the limiting unit to limit or prevent the second current on the second line.

  • Patent number: 9266482
Abstract: An onboard power supply system for a motor vehicle includes a voltage converter and a voltage source which is electrically coupled with the voltage converter and is constructed for providing a predefined source voltage. The onboard power supply system further has a base energy accumulator which is electrically coupled with the voltage converter and is constructed for providing a predefined base voltage. With respect to the amount, the source voltage is greater than the base voltage. The onboard power supply system also has at least one first selection circuit of at least one first electric consuming device which can be electrically coupled parallel to the voltage converter. Furthermore, the onboard power supply system has at least one second selection circuit of at least one second electric consuming device which can be electrically coupled parallel to the base energy accumulator.

  • Patent number: 7685162
Abstract: A method and device for adjusting user-dependent parameter values in or on at least one automotive device in a motor vehicle and for saving the settings in at least one data memory inside the vehicle and/or outside the vehicle are provided. To improve the convenience of the known method with one or more main users and one more temporary users, there is a query in a first step to ascertain whether the user-dependent parameter values currently set are to be saved as temporary parameter values or as quasi-permanent parameter values in the at least one data memory inside the vehicle and/or outside the vehicle. In a second step, the user-dependent parameter values currently set are saved in accordance with the response to the inquiry, and in a third step, regardless of the result of the inquiry, the quasi-permanent parameter values are always set.
