    Abstract: In one implementation, audio signals from at least one audio input device are received. In addition, a first weight for the at least one audio input device is applied to the audio signals to generate a plurality of weighted left channel audio signals and a second weight for the at least one audio input device is applied to the audio signals to generate a plurality of weighted right channel audio signals. Moreover, stereo audio signals containing the weighted left channel audio signals and the weighted right channel audio signals are generated.

The acoustic echo canceling control software is implemented on a computer system that operates the video conference system and macros are configured to couple the acoustic echo canceling control software to hardware components of the video conference system and to interface with the application programming interface. The macros are user configurable for providing real time adjustments of echo canceling runtime parameters of the hardware components during a video conference session.

An acoustic change to a new acoustic configuration of the video conferencing system is detected during the session (408), a mode definition is selected from the database based upon the new acoustic configuration and the echo canceling system is dynamically reconfigured based upon the new acoustic configuration during the session (410).
