  • Patent number: 4881585
Abstract: A bench type milling cutter includes a bearing block assembly which is a bearing block assembly which is carried by a carrier and which is linearly vertically adjustable relative to the carrier by means of a manual actuator. The carrier, in turn, is mounted on a slide for rotation relative to the slide within a vertical plane containing the tool axis, such rotation created by a manual actuator. The slide is movable horizontally relative to the work bench so that the tool may be displaced horizontally in relation to the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4621427
Abstract: A guide device for a tool such as a manual planing machine or a manual milling machine comprises a compass point connected to the tool by several guide rods. Curving or circular working processes are possible with this guide device. The compass point is preferably supported in a connecting piece connected to the guide rods, with the guide rods passing through the housing of the working tool. A sliding block additionally arranged on the guide rods carries the weight of the working tool and assures a constant, uniform working depth. When processing edges, the guide rods connected with the working tool may be mounted on an angle piece, which by means of further rods is connected with the connecting piece carrying the compass point.

  • Patent number: 4612999
Abstract: A percussion tool such as a hammer head comprises a housing for receiving a tool. A rotary drive mechanism rotates the tool about a longitudinal axis. A strike bolt is arranged for impacting against the tool. A cylinder sleeve is mounted coaxially with the longitudinal axis. A piston is slidable within the sleeve and is arranged to impact against the strike bolt. An impact drive mechanism is provided for imparting sliding movement to the piston toward the strike bolt. The impact drive mechanism comprises a wobble drive member mounted for longitudinal reciprocal movement and for rotary movement about an inclined axis disposed at an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis. The wobble drive member is operably connected to the cylinder sleeve and to the rotary drive means to be driven thereby about the inclined axis so as to be longitudinally reciprocated. Thus, the rotary forces and impacting forces are derived from the same source.

  • Patent number: 4603479
Abstract: A manual planing or milling tool having a rotary driven cutter is displaceable longitudinally along a fixedly arranged guide rail. The tool is connected with a holder which carries a running part sliding on the guide rail. The holder may be guided pivotingly or nonpivotingly with respect to the guide rail. The guide rail may be fastened to a workpiece support bar rotatable by 180.degree. so that the processing tool may be used in two different positions. The workpiece support bar may have two different surfaces, one being smooth for the working of large workpieces, while the other having grooves to receive smaller workpieces.

  • Patent number: 4584772
Abstract: A hand-held planing tool has a housing with a chamber adapted to receive a rotary driven planer head. The chamber is sized to receive either a small planer head and blade which makes a shallow flat planar cut in a workpiece, or a larger planer head and blade which makes a profiling cut (e.g., an irregular cut) in a workpiece. The housing carries support members which extend downwardly to different depths to contact the portions of the profiling cut which are of corresponding depths, and thereby adapt the tool to travel along the profile.

  • Patent number: 4585077
Abstract: A manual drilling mechanism can optionally be employed for (i) rotary drilling wherein the rotating motion of a drive spindle may be transmitted to a rotary drilling tool, or (ii) hammer drilling wherein an impact bolt guided in the drive spindle is impacted against the end of a hammer drilling tool. The latter tool is axially movably guided in a hammer drill holder. A drill chuck is attached to the spindle. The chuck carries jaws for clamping the rotary drill tool. The jaws are movable between tool-clamping and tool-release positions. The chuck has a passage for the impact bolt. The passage has a diameter slightly smaller than the space between the jaws when the latter are in the tool-clamping position. The chuck forms a receiving sleeve for the drill hammer holder.

  • Patent number: 4572259
Abstract: A plurality of planer cutters are mounted on a center piece of a planer tool. A clamping flap and mounting bolts connect the cutter to the center piece. The cutter has a groove adapted to receive the collars of adjusting screws to radially adjust the cutter. The flap is connected to the center piece at two circumferentially spaced locations so that a long flap can be employed which is shaped complementarily to the shape of the cutter profile.
