    Abstract: A model vehicle wing mounting system for a model vehicle including a wing support, a deformable mount, and a pivotal mount is provided. The wing support is rotatively attached to the model vehicle chassis at a first location via the pivotal mount. The wing supported is deformably attached to the model vehicle chassis at a second location via the deformable mount. The wing is fixedly attached to the wing support. The pivotal mount may be a pinned hinge or a flexible hinge. The deformable mount may be an elongated oval configuration or rubber. The wing mounting system provides a measure of shock absorption for the model vehicle wing.

    Abstract: A model vehicle is provided including a model vehicle chassis and a model vehicle body. The model vehicle chassis has an electric motor and cooling fins, thermally coupled to the electric motor. In addition, the model vehicle chassis further has an electric fan directed towards the cooling fins. The model vehicle body has an air vent provided in the model vehicle body. When the model vehicle is operating, airflow enters the air vent and across the cooling fins to dissipate heat generated by the electric motor. Additionally, a rear edge of the model vehicle body is located at a height that is higher than a top of the electric motor and wherein the electric fan increases the airflow across the cooling fins to increase the heat dissipation.

The latch assembly further includes a latch member with a latch engagement surface. The body mounting assembly also includes a retainer assembly. The retainer assembly further includes a retainer engagement surface. The latch assembly is releasably engaged to the retainer assembly when the latch engagement surface and the retainer engagement surface are interlock together. The latch engagement surface and the retainer engagement surface comprise negative engagement angles. A body mount able to be coupled to a model vehicle body includes one of the latch assembly or the retainer assembly and a chassis mount able to be coupled to the model vehicle chassis includes the other corresponding retainer assembly or the latch assembly corresponding to the body mount.

    Abstract: Supply of tape components in which a tape replacement can be performed without any loss in performance is provided for by unwinding a first tape from a first reel, moving components located in the pockets of said first tape to a pickup position where they are picked up by a placement machine, splicing the end of said first tape to the start of a second tape wound on a second reel, and replacing said first reel by said second reel. A splice sensor is included for detecting a splice between the first and second tape. The signals from such splice sensor allow for an automatic and synchronous take over of the related data of the newly joined second tape.

    Abstract: The present invention provides for safe and simple replacement or removal of individual feeders from a placement machine without any loss in performance by using a signal means to emit a signal to the CPU of the placement machine when a feeder is removed. Upon receipt of this signal, the CPU controls the pick-up head in such a way so that it does not collide with the feeder being removed. If the pick-up head is located directly above the pick-up position of the feeder to be removed, it can be moved momentarily upwards or sideways thanks to its fast drive before a collision occurs. If the pick-up head is located just on the way to the pick-up position of the feeder, the procedure is momentarily aborted so that a collision can be avoided.
