  • Publication number: 20090003961
Abstract: A device for mounting components, such as metal sheets, on one another, includes a clamp with external elastic U-shaped tongues that slide over an edge of a first component, and a section that is located between the tongues and includes an internal thread, and a screw that can engage the internal thread for mounting a second component on the first component. The screw has a thread pitch suitable for plastic materials and a correspondingly small flank angle. The internal thread has a region that is tapped, is located in, and helically extends from the central clamp section. The internal thread has more than one flight and one thread pitch for engaging the thread pitch of the screw thread.

  • Publication number: 20060255568
Abstract: A fastening element for the installation and retention of an airbag at the body of a vehicle. The fastening device is equipped with an essentially flat first element component for the immediate fastening of the airbag to the body, and a second element component, basically stirrup shaped, for retaining the airbag between the two element components. The first element section and the second element section are combined to form one open and one closed end of the fastening device, with at least one of the two element components equipped with holding devices, providing for a secure pre-installation of the fastening device to the airbag.

  • Publication number: 20050263657
Abstract: A fastening device for an inserting element that can be inserted into an inserting opening of a base plate. The inserting element can be fastened to the base plate by at least one holding device. The holding device has a basic component (9) that can be firmly fixed to the inserting element and a hinged component designed as a U-shaped bracket. A bar of the U-shaped bracket near an upper side plate has a guide end directed toward the swivel axis of the U-shaped bracket which can mesh with flat locking grooves on the basic component. The locking grooves are arranged such that the holding device can be locked in its operating position and also in an inserting position that is swiveled from this operating position by 90°.

  • Patent number: 6253423
Abstract: The invention relates to a fixing element for connecting component parts, in particular plastic paneling, to sheet-metal, in particular parts of the chassis of a motor vehicle. Said fixing element comprises a plastic body which has a base configured for insertion into a U-shaped retaining element of the component part, and a head which, when assembled, projects through an opening in the metal sheet and carries latch springs which form an acute angle in relation to the longitudinal axis of the plastic body and, when assembled, lock behind the edges of the opening in the metal sheet.

  • Patent number: 5970586
Abstract: The invention relates to a component for fastening a profile washer to a edge strip of a sheet which is surrounded by a groove in the profile washer. When assembled, a resilient metal clamp (1) surrounds with two legs (2,3) the edge strip. An intermediate layer (6,26) of a lower level of hardness is provided between the metal bracket (1) and the edge strip. The distance between the legs (2,3) lessens in the end regions (4,5) thereof, and widens again at the ends thereof.
