  • Publication number: 20140294904
Abstract: The present invention relates to a water-in-oil emulsion, comprising a continuous hydrophobic phase in which the hydrophilic phase is dispersed, wherein: (i) the emulsion has a total water content in the range of 30% to 95% (w/w); (ii) the emulsion does not comprise an emulsion stabilizer; (iii) the hydrophobic phase has a ratio of low hydrophilic-lipophilic balance amphiphilic molecules to oils in the range of 50% to 96% (w/w); and (iv) the continuous hydrophobic phase is made of lyotropic liquid crystalline nanostructures including 5% to 40% (w/w) water and does not comprise a lamellar phase wherein the low hydrophilic- lipophilic balance amphiphilic molecules have an HLB value in the range between 4 and 11. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a corresponding method for preparing such water-in-oil emulsion, the method comprising: (a) pre-mixing of the two fluid hydrophilic and hydrophobic phases at a rotation speed of at least 4,000 rpm and at a temperature of at least 40° C.

  • Patent number: 8158687
Abstract: The present invention concerns an oil-in-water emulsion wherein the oil droplets of a diameter in the range of 5 nm to hundreds of micrometers exhibit a nano-sized structurization with hydrophilic domains with a diameter size in the range of 0.5 to 200 nm and being formed by a lipophilic additive.

  • Publication number: 20110275519
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dispersion containing an aqueous continuous phase and a dispersed phase, wherein the dispersed phase exhibits a nano-sized self-assembled structurization and wherein the dispersed phase contains a pesticide with a water solubility at 25° C. of up to 10 g/l and a melting point of below 100° C. The present invention further relates to a method for preparing said dispersion comprising a step of contacting the components, and to a method for controlling phytopathogenic fungi and/or undesired plant growth and/or undesired attack by insects or mites and/or for regulating the growth of plants, where said dispersion is allowed to act on the particular pests, their habitat or the plants to be protected from the particular pest, the soil and/or on undesired plants and/or the useful plants and/or their habitat.

  • Publication number: 20080299200
Abstract: The invention concerns an oil-in-water emulsion wherein the oil droplets of a diameter in the range of 5 nm to hundreds of micrometers exhibit a nano-sized self-assembled structure with hydrophilic domains having a diameter size in the range of 0.5 to 200 nm, due to the presence of a lipophilic additive, and the oil-in-water emulsion contains a thickener or gelling agent in order to create new product consistencies and textures.

  • Patent number: 4704782
Abstract: A method of assembling a universal joint comprising two shafts provided with yokes at their ends and connected by means of a universal joint spider having journals supported in bores in the yokes by bearing cups which are unilaterally closed by a bottom wherein the end faces of the journals abut against the bottoms of the bearing cups, comprising initially centering the universal joint spider and the shafts relative to each other and stationarily clamped, then pressing the bearing cups in the bores in the yokes and axially fixed therein wherein the yoke arms, if necessary, are widened radially outwardly and are always immovably fixed radially inwardly, characterized in that the axial position for each bearing cup (6) in the respective bore (3) of the yoke (5) in which the bottom (9) of the bearing cup (6) abuts against the end face (34) of the respective journal (1) is measured or determined and the pressing process of the bearing cup (6) in this position is either terminated or based on this position, the pr
