  • Patent number: 4733213
Abstract: A layer winding for transformers, measuring transformers, choke coils or the like is to be so improved that the insulation of such a layer winding exhibits practically no free spaces in the insulating tape edge areas. This is assured by the method of manufacture in that when reaching the outer end face (12) of a layer winding edge (4), the insulating tape (2) is continued to be wound and the band portion (13) of the insulating tape (2) which projects beyond the edge face (12) is continuously cut off. The remaining residual portion of the insulating tape (15) is then continued to be wound with zero pitch for such length of time until the free spaces which otherwise occur at the layer winding edge (4') are filled out.

  • Patent number: 4730777
Abstract: A method and apparatus for winding ring cores, ring coils, ring core parts or ring coil parts, especially of ring core transformers or ring core measuring transformers, whereby the arrangement includes a winding material storage unit (33) which is moved alternately by means of two transfer mechanisms (20, 21) a distance about the ring core (5). Winding material 51 present on a supply roller (50) is thereby reeled off and wound on the ring core (5). The transfer mechanisms (20, 21) thereby move equally but in opposite directions between two transfer places (U 1, U 2) and are coupled respectively decoupled thereat with respective transfer mechanisms (20, respectively 21). The winding material storage unit (33) is thereby guided as structural unit during each winding through the ring core opening (7) of the ring core (5) respectively ring coil or the like.

  • Patent number: 4697752
Abstract: A coil winding machine with a coil clamping and rotating mechanism for a coil to be clamped-in horizontally which is to be so constructed that the finished-wound coil with great length and/or great weight can be easily removed from above by means of a crane or a trolley hoist and then carried away. This is achieved in that the winding material feed devices (12, 13, 14) are arranged at a common bearer (10) and are pivotally supported together with the bearer about an axis (11) disposed to the rear of the coil rotating axis (15) in such a manner that the transfer or guide rollers (16, 17, 18) are adapted to be pivoted out of the space (20) that exists vertically above the coil (19), and the coil (19) can then be removed vertically in the upward direction.

  • Patent number: 4311979
Abstract: A transformer winding, made as a layered winding with striplike conductor insulated with at least one strip of insulation folded about the conductor, and a process for making the same, are disclosed. To make possible a fully automatic manufacture of the winding with sufficient mechanical strength and uniform impregnation, the insulation strip, in addition to insulation of the conductor, constitutes likewise the insulation of the layers. At the periphery of a winding layer there are punctate bonding places at predetermined distances only on the outside of the conductor insulation. The cross section of the layered winding may be essentially trapezoidal with the transition to the free outer end comprising one or more circular arcs with different radii.

  • Patent number: 4156221
Abstract: A coupling transformer for networks with superimposed audio frequency voltage, especially for ripple control systems, with primary and secondary windings rigidly coupled with each other and arranged about an iron core; the primary and secondary windings surround one another coaxially and are separated and insulated from one another by a cast resin insulation, whereby only one of the two windings is embedded in the cast resin insulation while the other, freely accessible winding coaxially surrounds the iron core constructed as rod-type core under formation of at least one cooling channel; an electric shield is additionally provided between the two windings.

  • Patent number: 3959761
Abstract: A single-conductor current transformer adapted to be installed into a fully insulated, metal-encapsulated high-voltage switching installation, whose cores and secondary windings are protected on all sides by a casing of electrically insulating material designed to provide an insulation for low voltage; the high voltage insulation is constituted by the insulating gas on the inside of the encapsulation of the high-voltage switching installation whereby the insulating casing forms the pressure housing for the insulating gas itself and is adapted to be secured with its end faces at the connecting flanges of the metal encapsulation of the high-voltage switching installation; metallic pipes are cast into the insulating casing within the outer edge area of the insulating casing for the return-conduction of the current, into which are adapted to be inserted connecting bolts for purposes of connection with the connecting flanges of the metal encapsulation.
