  • Publication number: 20060097083
Abstract: Disclosed is a coinjection nozzle for a two-component injection molding tool, which is used for producing parisons. The inventive nozzle comprises a nozzle holder (1) and an nozzle tip (4) that is mounted therein. A shut-off needle (11) is directed within a needle guide (3) at least in a top portion (K) of the needle tip (4). An additional nozzle sleeve (2) is disposed between the needle guide (3) and the nozzle tip (4). A first tubular delivery duct (A) extends between the nozzle sleeve (2) and the nozzle tip (4) while a second tubular delivery duct (B) extends between the nozzle sleeve (2) and the needle guide (3). The needle guide (3) is provided with a conical needle-guiding head (3a) located in the top portion (K) of the nozzle. A throat is provided in the first tubular delivery duct (A) in the area (E) of the nozzle. The needle-guiding head (3a) and the nozzle sleeve (2) are shaped in such a way that the second tubular delivery duct (B) narrows in a final area so as to form a shear edge (F).

  • Patent number: 6203305
Abstract: The hot-runner coinjection distributor block arrangement comprises several block parts (6, 7) which with the help of heating elements (8) may be brought to differing temperatures. These block parts (6, 7) are spaced from one another with an intermediate piece (9) and are supported via a support element (10) on the head plate (2). In this support element (10) spring elements, preferably a disc spring (11) is incorporated, which spaces the support element (10) from the head plate (2) and press the two block parts (6, 7) onto one another also in the cold mode. In the hot mode these disc springs (11) permit an axial expansion of the block parts (6, 7) and reduce the tension force exerted onto the support element (10). Peg-like formations of the intermediate piece (9) and of the support element (10) ensure that the bores for the guiding of the closure needle or of the feed channel (13) by the thermal expansion of the block parts (6, 7) are retained, i.e. are not laterally displaced.

  • Patent number: 6190157
Abstract: The invention concerns an ejector for a discharging device for the removal of preforms which enables a partially cooled preform to be detached safely from a form tool and, on complete cooling, to be likewise removed from the discharging device safely and completely.

  • Patent number: 5582851
Abstract: A multi-plate injection molding tool has multiple cavities. It includes a hot-runner plate, a hot-runner distribution block adjacent to the hot-runner plate, and a plurality of hot-runner nozzles. The hot-runner distribution block is a monolithic seamless metal block. A lower die plate is removably attached to the hot-runner plate, and an upper die bolster is adjustably attached to the lower die plate and is movable along fixed guide columns. The upper die bolster comprises a base plate, a stripping plate and a slide plate. A plurality of form cores are supported on the upper die bolster, and a plurality of annular stamps are attached to the lower die plate, each being around a form core and each having a conical exterior surface tapered towards the lower die plate, and cooperating with a die; a plurality of dies is carried by the lower die plate, and each has a mating conical surface for receiving the conical surface of a stamp in close fit therewith when the molding tool is closed.

  • Patent number: 5518997
Abstract: Method of preparing homogeneous mixtures of liquid and/or solid perfume materials by mixing the components and liquefying the mixture, in which a binary or ternary eutectic premix which is liquid at room temperature and contains 10-90% of the individual substances in the case of binary mixtures and 10-70% in the case of ternary mixtures is formed froma) the solid 6-acetyl-1,1,3,4,4,6-hexamethyltetrahydronaphthalene,b) the solid or oily .alpha.,n-hexylcinnamaldehyde,c) the oily p-tert-butyl-.alpha.-methylhydrocinnamaldehyde,d) the solid p-methoxyacetophenone ande) the solid benzyl o-hydroxybenzoate,and the remaining solid and liquid products are introduced into this mixture simultaneously or in a sequence which is freely chosen for the particular mixture and is independent of the chemical and physical nature of the substances, and the binary and ternary eutectic premixes prepared in this manner.

  • Patent number: 5421715
Abstract: Apparatus for the simultaneous production of preforms consisting of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fed and distributed to a plurality of cavities. In order to reduce the occurrence of acetaldehyde formation in a cavity, for example, a heated distributor block used in the production of preforms of the PET material, the material flowing through a channel is subjected to additional turbulence. To this end, an element, preferably of metal, is installed in the channels, such element being provided with sets of radial spokes which are azimuthally offset in relation to each other in the axial direction. Besides inducing turbulence, such spokes act as homogenizing elements serving to diffuse heat over the cross section of the flowing process material.

  • Patent number: 5254305
Abstract: A nozzle for injecting a moldable material has a nozzle body which defines a nozzle channel leading to the nozzle outlet. The nozzle outlet is controlled by an axially slidable nozzle pin extending coaxially through the nozzle channel. A guide sleeve slidably supports the nozzle pin until it reaches the region adjacent the nozzle outlet. As a result, the length along which the nozzle pin is exposed to the moldable material is significantly reduced, thereby substantially eliminating the bending stresses applied to the nozzle pin by the pressure asymmetries in the incoming moldable material. The nozzle pin may also be retracted fully within the guide sleeve to provide an unobstructed path for the moldable material to flow through and consolidate as it approaches the nozzle outlet. With this arrangement, the incoming moldable material may be conveyed towards the nozzle channel asymmetrically with respect to the axis of the nozzle pin without any deleterious effect.

  • Patent number: 5139724
Abstract: The method is used to process a synthetic moulding compound which crystallizes within a specific temperature range. In order to prevent milkiness in the blank to be produced, the moulding compound is chilled. The method prevents such milkiness, at least in the gate area of the blank, by keeping all of the moulding compound, during the operating cycle, as far as the gate area, at a temperature which is above the temperature T.sub.CC below which the moulding compound begins to crystallize. A gate system, which may be used to carry out the method, uses, in the interior of the injection nozzle, a strongly heat conducting nozzle core, a strongly heat conducting area in the immediate vicinity of the gate opening, and a gap for heat insulation of the nozzle tip, the nozzle core and the moulded body.
