  • Patent number: 4842763
Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid cleaning suspension based on a mixture of water, tensides, carrier materials (based on sodium aluminum silicate and urea formaldehyde resin foam), low-molecular weight alcohols, thickeners, and other additives such as fragrances and process materials, antimicrobials or bactericides and further low vapor pressure organic solvents for cleaning smooth vertical surfaces, in particular glass surfaces. The present suspension affords good adhesion, non-dusty application as well as easy removal after cleaning without leaving residues or streaks. The cleaning suspension of the invention comprises from about 5 to 40% by weight of sodium aluminum silicate having a particle size up to 100.mu., from about 0.1 to 15% by weight of a pulverized urea formaldehyde foam having a particle size up to 110.mu., from about 2 to 50% by weight of a low-molecular weight alcohol, from about 1 to 20% by weight of a high vapor pressure organic solvent, from about 0.

  • Patent number: 4753746
Abstract: The invention is directed to a detergent and a method of producing the same. The detergent is for textile surfaces and especially for textile floor coverings. The detergent includes a pulverized, porous carrier including a foamed, plastified urea-formaldehyde resin foam. The carrier material is enriched with detergent so that the finished product with respect to the carrier material has a weight per unit volume of 60 kg/m.sup.3 and an apparent density of 50 to 150 grams/liter; the granular size of the carrier material is between 0.01 and 12 mm; the surfactant containing water, which adheres to the carrier material, is stored in the carrier material in a completely homogeneous manner in a share of maximally 80% by weight referred to the weight of the carrier material; and, the detergent is produced from the mixture of the carrier material with a highly concentrated aqueous cleaning solution.

  • Patent number: 4563187
Abstract: A cleaning means is disclosed for textile surfaces, particularly textile floor coverings, containing a powdery, porous carrier material based upon urea-formaldehyde-resin foam which is enriched with cleaning agent, whereby the tenside-containing water adhered within the carrier material from the foaming-up process is stored completely homogeneously in the carrier material, and forms together with the cleaning agent the prepared product. It is suggested for lowering the free formaldehyde content, to add to the tenside-containing water adhering within the carrier material, a salt of sulfurous acid in an effective portion, relative to the anion of the acid, from 0.01-2% by weight. This strongly reduces the portion of free formaldehyde and adjusts the pH-value of the cleaning means between 6 and 9.

  • Patent number: 4561992
Abstract: An aerosol cleaning agent for textile surfaces, particularly for the cleaning of textile upholstery, contains a plasticized urea-formaldehyde resin foam, a propellant, an antisettling and suspending agent respectively and a liquid. In order to obtain improved cleaning action and improved removability from the article to be cleaned, the aerosol cleaning agent comprises approximately 65 to 75 wt % active substance. This active substance contains sodium-aluminum silicate suspended therein and buffered by acid to a pH of about 7-8--and the plasticized urea-formaldehyde resin foam has open-cell foam particles and is present in particle sizes between the limit values of about 0.005 and 0.120 mm and a density (in dry, non-comminuted condition) of about 50 plus or minus 10 kg/m.sup.3. Therefore it is possible to dispense with the addition of a moisture-retaining cation-active antistatic.
