    Abstract: In a pipe jointure for joining pipe sections, particularly of exhaust systems of motor vehicles including a clamp having opposite leg portions with clamping surfaces for enclosing and firmly engaging adjacent ends of the pipe sections, at least one of the leg portions has radially inwardly and axially outwardly directed tabs extending therefrom in circumferentially spaced relationship for retaining and guiding the adjacent pipe sections while the clamp is mounted and tightened by compressing bolts.
