  • Patent number: 5474429
Abstract: A fluid-displacement apparatus, especially a blower, has a stator of an electric motor directly driving the impeller integrated in the flow passage housing while the rotor of the electric motor is surrounded by the stator and is mounted on the ends of the blades of the impeller or propeller.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 11, 1994
Date of Patent: December 12, 1995
    Inventors: Gotz Heidelberg, Otto Stuckmann
  • Patent number: 5458778
Abstract: A vehicle refueling station has a water treatment system for the vehicle washing installation which utilizes mechanical flotation and an aerobic treatment of the flotage to minimize sewer discharge. The gas from the anaerobic treatment is used to fuel a thermal electric converter which can also be fueled by vapors from the fueling operation. The thermal energy can be used to heat the water for car washing or for space heating purposes. The electrical energy can drive the electrical equipment at the refueling station.

  • Patent number: 5219263
Abstract: A transporter or transport robot especially for transporting workpieces between presses has a cantilever arm swingable about a vertical first axis on a stationary base and a horizontal second axis in a common plane. A linear positioner is swingable at a free end of this cantilever arm about a vertical third axis and carries a gripper head on which the gripper is mounted for rotation about further axes. The workpiece can thus be swung across the first vertical axis to maintain its position along a line between the presses if the linear positioner and cantilever arm will swing in opposite senses. The actuator for the angular displacement may be electrical or hydraulic and a linear motor can be provided for the linear positioner.

  • Patent number: 5174898
Abstract: A paint sludge is subjected to aerobic biodegradation with increased dry content of the resulting sludge and the latter is then subjected to anaerobic biological degradation. The effluent from the two biostages are sterilized by ozonization, UV-irradiation or peroxide addition. The sludge from the anaerobic biostage can be dried to an inert granulate and drying vapors are recycled to the aerobic biostage. The sterile liquid is returned to the wash water circulation of the painting plant.
