  • Patent number: 4906251
Abstract: An additive for gasoline comprises a polyoxyethylene sorbitol polyoleate. It may be provided to the gasoline, which is typically gasohol, as a dispersion in a gasoline - miscible solvent to typically provide an additive concentration in the gasoline of 100 to 1000 p.p.m. The additive acts to prevent formation of a separate alcohol-water phase in the gasoline by making the phase more readily dispersable in the gasoline.
